If you drink mate with bombilla then "con palo" helps the bombilla from clogging. It is known that Maté contains Theobromine an interesting compound. Overheating it changes it to caffeine. If you cannot drink your Maté immediately after pouring in the "hot" water you're probably drinking a more caffeinated form of Maté. There are studies about Maté stating that when consumed the central nervous system is boosted without the cardio system boost. Caffeine is in stark contrast to this. **Q: Is your yerba mate organic?** A: It doesn't need to be. Organics can be worse than non organic. Anything that is organic can be used as a pesticide. These can be very bad for you, as you know, many toxins and poisons exist in nature. Don't let that deter you from this product, it's the one of the best Ilex Paraguariensis teas you'll find. **Q: Does the product you received seem fresh? I know, with mate it can be hard to tell.
