As long as you know the short length will be enough, then these seem like great cables. They have a quality "click" connector, that doesn't wiggle loose. The flat cable is flexible. Due to needing a 180-degree turn at one end, the 1.5ft length was almost too short where I wanted to use it, so keep this in mind. I only have a 1-gigabit network, mostly Cat5e, so for this environment it is more than sufficient.

They work great, look good and seem high quality

This is a good cable - especially considering it a well priced Cat7.The cable has a quality feel. Ditto the connector ends. One hears a solid, “click” when they are plugged in. Also, they are space saver.: They roll up easily and don’t make a wild mess in the tool bags I carry.I opted for these over thin format Ethernet cables. They have good noise insulation and deliver data at a faster rate.

I was about to write a negative review, as I was only getting 100Mbps on my gigabit connection after replacing my existing cables with these cables.It turns out that my Unifi gear (UDM-Pro and Unifi 8 port 60W switch) were auto-negotiating the port speed to 100Mbps. After forcing the ports to 1Gbps, my speeds shot up, as expected.I'm not sure if it's a symptom of these cables, or CAT7, in general, but it's something worth looking into if you appear to be having throughput issues with these cables.

This worked out perfectly for connecting my modem directly to my computer. I just needed a short cable and it was actually what I needed. It also worked especially well for my TV as I have 2 behind there connecting my systems.

They’re shielded, short, and attractive cables. They pass network cable tests (including the shielding/ground) and they work. What more is there to ask? :)

Don't think that because it has a higher number (7) it is a better cable.There is no such thing as "consumer grade" category 7 cable. "Real" Cat7 cabling is insanely expensive, is only available from commercial suppliers, and the connectors won't work with consumer hardware.Category 7 is not a TIA/EIA standard, nor is it intended for use with 8P8C (RJ45) connectors. It is specifically for use in data centres with specialized equipment.CAT6e is shielded to prevent electrical interference and 'cross-talk'; a phenomenon created when two or more wires/cables are in close proximity to one another.These cables will be susceptible to cross-talk if they are in close proximity to one another.Cat5 uses AWG 26 wire, CAT6 uses thicker AWG 24 or 23, (The larger the number, the smaller the wire); the thicker 24AWG wire increases capacity and speed of the cable, especially over longer distances up to 300 feet (100 meters). CAT6 usually has a centre core, shaped like the plus sign (+) that keeps each twisted pair separated, to reduce cross-talk and improve data throughput.Don't think because it has a higher number it is a better cable.
