Great Watch Band
This is a great watch band for the Suunto Black Core Watch. This is an issue with the original watch band and the replacements. The rubber wears out quickly and rips. Hate that. I decided to try a new type of band, and this new band is great.PROSEasy to installComfortableEasily AdjustableGreat qualityCONSThe band rings move and adjust. For me, this is a slight inconvenience because I am constantly adjusting them back to position. BUT...it enables you to adjust the band rings to meet your needs. The band rings are metal. Again, not a huge issue, BUT if you are military or LE, be careful. They make noise and can clink. Noise discipline. I also suspect that paint will ultimately wear in timeOtherwise, this is a great choice for this watch and highly recommend it over the plastic ones!

Great Band for everyday use, except there is one minor issue....
I actually bought this band because the original was always breaking. I am an active person both in the gym and outdoors. The band is in near perfect condition after nearly 6 months of use. It is great in forms of function and being durable as wear and tear. It still almost seems brand new.The con: This band soaks up all sorts of liquids, to include sweat. After a couple of workouts the band starting to stink, so every 2 weeks or so I have a routine where I soak the band and watch in oxyclean for about an hour, wash with a detergent and rinse.conclusion: Its helpful, but the band isn't broken, frayed or even showing signs of wear. I would recommend to an everyday user instead of the elastic / rubber stock that comes on some watches.

Good value, looks good, seems well made
My original plastic strap broke on my Suunto Core Black. I could not see paying over $60 for another OEM one that would undoubtedly do the same thing. I looked at just getting an adapter to use a NATO strap on it. But they alone were more than this kit. I got the “tan” one. It is a darker material than the photos show, a little towards the khaki side with a slight greet tint. It was a little fiddly to put on, but that’s the nature of the beast for this type of screwed on strap. It’s comfortable, looks great. Much more comfortable than the sweaty plastic original. Someone commented that the material was too thin. I don’t think so at all. It is pretty standard thickness for a NATO. In fact, thicker than some NATO straps for other watches I own. Buckles and keepers appear well made. The mounting screws might could be made a little beefier, but maybe they wouldn’t fit if they were. All in all, even if the strap fails, you have gotten adapters for less than adapter alone. Give this one a shot if you have a Suunto Core.

Good Band but Watch the Pins!
I really like the band and it looks great on my Suunto watch, however a few days after I started using it one of the factory installed pins came undone while I was mountain biking and I very nearly almost lost my expensive watch. It wasn’t one of the pins that’s required to be undone to install the band to the watch, it was one of the factory installed pins that I didn’t touch upon installation. Could have been very expensive… I would recommend tightening all four pins instead of just the two that attach to the watch before using this band.

Great band for a good price!!
It works perfectly, HOWEVER, use some blue loctite on the screws because you will lose them if you don’t. I had a green band originally, however a few months down the road I had a screw back out and fall into the abyss some where. So get some thread locker (non permanent) like blue loctite and you should be fine. No frays, tears or lapse in the quality other wise

Great, but needs Lock-Tite.
I've had several of these in different colors and they're great! Super comfortable, lightweight, they breathe, I like the look...The only trouble is that their pins will unscrew themselves and your watch will fall off.I used some green Lock-Tite on one and it ate the screw threads, blue Lock-Tite would probably be the best choice or even something like nail polish on the screw threads would probably work, but it needs SOMETHING to keep those screw pins together. Tightening them isn't enough!

I wish I had an opportunity to like this band.
Like so many Suunto Core owners, I finally had to replace the original band after it failed. I knew I wanted a NATO style band, and this product had the most reviews so I figured I would give it a shot. I cannot say much about the band. I like the look of it. The feel is what to be expected. Not the highest quality but it was what I expected. I noticed a little bit of the finish on the strap retainer started to go, but it was likely from rubbing up against stuff. I replaced the watch band on a Saturday evening. The process was a little frustrating. It felt like the hardware I received may have been too short, but after fighting with it for awhile the thread finally caught, and the screw began to seat. I snugged it up being mindful not to crank down on it and shear the threads, but enough to ensure that it shouldn't back out, or so I thought. I got to enjoy the band for one week. That's it. 8 days later on a Sunday morning, I was walking along and I felt the watch give way from my wrist. I picked it up off the floor and that's when I noticed the screw had backed itself out. I looked around my immediate area and tried retracing my footsteps to find the missing screw, but to no avail. Not sure what to do at this point. Do I buy another one and apply Loctite Threadlocker Blue 242 to the threads? Do I try another brand? Do I go with Suunto knowing I will likely have to replace the band yet again. I never thought a watch band would give me so many issues, but here we are.
