Dont bother
I bought my Skullshaver last year and on the first few uses thought it was an excellent product. I did originally think it was a little pricey at first but wasn't too fussed as it was doing a good job and saved the bother of getting my wife to shave my head every couple of weeks with hair clippers.I purchased last February and by August of last year the product had failed and refused to work despite it being charged. I would say that the battery was excellent and it only needed charging every two weeks or so. The cut was pretty decent (though no-where near as good as a razor).I returned my Skullshaver to the supplier after some good communication from them and with no quibble they sent me a replacement Skullshaver. Now, only a few months later the replacement has stopped working. I had fully charged it but the skullshaver refused to switch on, I left it in the bathroom only to hear it turn on itself about five minutes later, I tried to turn it off but it would not switch off so I decided to let it run the battery down, an hour later the shaver stopped, only to start back up again minutes later. My advice would be not to bother, they work well but are unreliable in terms of longevity. People who buys these items want them for a bit longer than 6 months, especially at this price.

Complete waste of money
Dropped the serious asking price to get one of these and approached it with excitement. First head cut on already cropped hair (so stubble only) was rather excellent. A close shave, comfortable to use and worked well.Over the next few weeks I used it about three more times and then it stopped working. The blades stopped turning that is. Like they were jammed.I stress - after each use I followed the Pitbull instructions to the letter to submerge rotating blades in a bowl of water and pulse on a few times to rid hairs. I could see hairs coming out so assumed it was being cleaned. Then left to air dry then tidied the foils with a brush. On the occasion it didnt work I figured, 'oh, I'll take the foils off like I can do with my Philishave. No dice. This is a sealed unit and to open them would void the warranty. So I looked to return it to Amazon. As luck would not have it, it had gone over the return window and I was stuck with a shaver that didnt turn.Considering my return window was shot I had a look at the heads. It's actually quite easy to take them apart and when I did, I found that the Pitbull cleaning regime does absolutely nothing. They were full of hair clogged around the spindles of each blade. I meticulously cleaned them all and re-assembled it. Sure enough it worked and I trimmed my hair. I rinsed as per instructions once again.Managed one more shave and then on third attempt again - clogged. What a useless design. All this needs is an ability to remove the foils and clean them out like you can do with EVERY other rotary razor i've ever seen. But no. They want you to buy a whole new head. No thanks. So where does this leave me - a razor that I have to surgically take apart on every third use just to clean it out? I think not.Never again - be very VERY wary of these. They literally cannot be cleaned easily. I'm back to a blade razor.

Great head shaved with minimal fuss!
So after using a beard and head trimmer for the past couple of years to keep my head shaved I thought it was time for a change. I kept seeing the Pitbull come up as an ad so decided to look more into it.Ultimately I purchased the Gold Plus model and what a purchase! It takes me around 3-4 minutes to do my whole head and to give what I find to be an extremely close cut to the skin that a wet shave really wouldn’t make too much difference. The device is easy to use, easy to clean and the battery life is fantastic! I managed to get 9 cuts before needing to charge the device.Goes without saying I’m extremely happy with my purchase and will happily purchase another one in the future.

Its alright. Takes too long!!
I have used the skull shaver 5 times now and my head is red raw after it. I do not find it easy as you have to go over and over and over and over the same parts repeatedly leaving one or two tiny hairs and then get the wife to inspect it and finish it off! I had hoped I could do it all but I am not there yet. I get that in time scalp irritation may subside but this feels like a way off unless you use it every second day. The battery has been quite unpredictable jumping from 50% to 10% in a matter of minutes and the cleaning is no easy matter either as there appears an endless supply of hair trapped in between the blades. Would I buy it again? NO. I would just buy a razor - I get that this is more expensive but do you want to shave your head or shave 95% of it and look stupid?!

What could have been...
Decided to try the skull shaver as a quick alternative to wet shaving my head which is time consuming and awkward to reach all parts of the head. The packaging looked the part but I was suspicious it wasn’t a new shaver due to seal broken. However the unit looked clean and I gave it a go... wow. Super quick, smooth finish. I was impressed, I tried to remove the blades to try the 3 blades on my face to find the head just rotated on itself unable to remove. Returning the unit was no problem at all and received a replacement within a week. When using the replacement for the first time one of the circular blades just fell off. Now this could of been damaged in transit but after spending over £100 and having to send back a second unit I decided to return the skull shaver and ask for a refund. This again was not a problem at all.I was impressed with the shaver but lost confidence in the quality of the build.I will keep an eye out for the next updated model hoping for a more robust version.
