Good but confused
This is a graphic novel and a game module? I was expecting something completely different for โThe Legend of Drizztโ. Starting off by saying all his companions are gone and he is alone for the first time in over a century, but wait, he has a companion, and Guenhwyvar and one came back, well sort of(sound like a party to me). As the story goes, its short, incomplete, a lot of questions. Reading this is like going to a restaurant while a party is at the restaurant off to the side. The party is the module and you are reading about Drizzt, the only thing in common is the place.

Better than the novel version
I'll explain the gist of the plot since it isn't apparent from the title. This comic focuses on Pwent's struggle with vampirism, a plot point that was rushed over in the novels. In this version, the same events are expanded upon and more details are added that make it more interesting. Consider it the cooler, better version. The art is beautiful, even if it is a bit too cartoony. Devil's Due, the company that made the Drizzt graphic novels, used a different style, but this book's design is equally good. The plot is clear and told efficiently, and other than the few additions they made to the plot, it is a perfect representation of the novels and of the characters as they're supposed to be.

A Disappointment to Drizzt Fans (May Contain Spoilers)
Ok, so Im a huge fan of the Dungeons and Dragons comic books, especially the ongoing series, but this "Legend of Drizzt" comic was kind of mediocre. First, the plot was totally weak. Half of the story is about Drizzt and Dalia tracking a dwarven vampire (thats right, a dwarven vampire!), while the other half is the dwarven vampire debating with a ghost wether or not he should eat people! Nevertheless, the few action was satifying, but overall pointless. I personally feel that the plot should have had more dialogue to help provide more motivation and substance to the potentially great story. The art look very good for the most part and is shown in great detail (which I love in comic books), especially in the vampire scences. Nevertheless, I felt overall disappointed and yearned more. However, I hope that another (and much better) comic-book prequel of a "Legend of Drizzt" will be published in the years to come.ย Dungeons & Dragons Volume 1: Shadowplague HCDungeons & Dragons Volume 2: First Encounters

Captivating.
I have read the novels of R.A. Salvatore over the last 15 or so years of my life. I have most of the books and now I am starting to collect the graphic novels as well. I think they add a nice touch to my collection and now my 11 and 7-year-old sons are reading them and becoming interested. To me they are a good way to get him to want to read more fantasy literature. He is coming around. I like the artwork.

The First Graphic Novel
Great read, that perfectly supplemented the the book series and answered the question that was raised in the novel...what happened after Drizzt and Dahlia walked away from Pwent

Superb
I was very thrilled to receive the book you had selected for me. I have chosen not to purchase new books, but when I opened the package, I was excited to see an almost new version.. Thank you very much!!!

Cool art!
I like the art in this hard covered comic.I am not a big comic person, this is the first one I have bought in over a decade! But I am a Drizzt / RA Salvatore fan and so I ordered it. I did find it is not an original story, but based off of some of the authors recent work. I think it would have been better if it was an original story line instead.

Alright
This was alright, it wasn't anything awe aspiring and the story was not the best, but the art was good and the characters are characters you want to see and know. It does leave it open for some future adventure, which is always fun. I found the story a little lame, but it wasn't all bad. If you enjoy FR and the Drizzt and friends saga then this is a good installment that opens an unknown. Kinda cool.

Fits in well with the series
I found this short comic to fit in very well with the series as a whole. The artwork is excellent and it works very well as a companion piece to the main novels rather than a whole new story arc in itself. What story there is is entertaining, with a good slug of action and characters featured from the novels. If you hadnt read all the books in the series up until Neverwinter, then the story of course will not make sense. There is little character development as this is done in the novels. The comic is purely just an exra addition to the adventures of Drizzt and Dahlia.
