Woody, great consistent quality
I’ve been using NOW Cedarwood Essential Oil for quite some time now, and it has become a staple in my essential oil collection. I’ve repurchased it many times because it consistently delivers a high-quality, soothing experience. The oil has a rich, woody aroma that brings an earthy, natural vibe to any of my DIY cosmetic applications, from lotions to hair oils. One of the things I love most about this oil is how long it lasts—both in terms of the product itself and the scent. A few drops go a long way, making it an excellent value for the price. The scent is intense yet calming, with a grounding, almost meditative quality. It blends beautifully with other essential oils, adding depth and balance to floral or citrus notes. I often mix it with lavender or sandalwood for a truly relaxing combination that I use in diffusers or personal care products. The longevity of the fragrance is also impressive. When I apply it to skin-care or hair-care products, the scent lingers subtly throughout the day, giving a fresh, woodsy undertone that I find very comforting. Its natural, calming properties make it perfect for evening relaxation rituals or even adding to homemade candles for a peaceful atmosphere.**Pros:**- Long-lasting: a small amount goes a long way.- Strong, pleasant, earthy, and calming scent.- Blends well with other essential oils (lavender, sandalwood, etc.).- Versatile: can be used in skincare, haircare, diffusers, and more.- Affordable for the quality and longevity of the product.- Dependable consistent quality of the brand.**Cons:**- The intensity might be too strong for those sensitive to woody scents.- As with any essential oil, it requires dilution for direct skin application.

Only Cedarwood oil I'll buy!
I've been buying the Now brand Cedarwood oil for a long time and I'm a very loyal devotee. I've tried other brands and nothing came close to the authenticity and fragrance of this Cedarwood. In fact, some of the others smelled downright unpleasant. I'm so addicted to the scent of this particular oil that it's almost like crack to me, lol! I find it fresh, earthy and rich, true-to-life of fresh cut cedar, and very calming and peaceful to my whole system. I love to use it in my diffuser when I go to bed at night and I'll even dab a little on my finger and rub it directly under my nose to really take in the full richness of the scent. I'm not sure why, but it has a peaceful and happy effect on my mood. Makes me feel relaxed and ready for bed. Makes a great home fragrance too, especially if you're a man (or live with one) who doesn't like overly sweet or frilly scents. I'm a woman, but I tend to prefer more masculine scents regardless. This just makes things smell fresh, clean, and earthy, like you just walked into a cedar closet after a rainstorm. I truly can't recommend it highly enough! My advice would be don't bother with the other brands, this Now Cedarwood really is the best and well worth it! The 1 oz bottle makes it a great deal too and lasts a long time compared to those puny 10ml ones most essential oils come in. Absolutely 5 stars!

Nice smell
I like the smell of this. It's not over powering. I rub just a little on my dog's ears to help him sleep at night. He's an itchy little boy and had a hard time selling down at night.

NOW is the best for cedar
So I have a weird trick for keeping my shoes smelling nice. Fill a little sock with cedar chips, then tie the end off. Put that in your shoe an hour or two after you take it off, and it'll keep a nice scent. Every few months the cedar smell diminishes to nothing, so I put drops of cedar oil over the socks to reinvigorate the good smells. I've tried a few brands on here and Ebay, but they all seem to have a medicinal, even sour odor. NOW has been consistently good.

It has a nice soft scent
It wasn't the cedarwood smell that I was looking for but it was still good and long lasting, the price for both bottles together was also good.

Excellent scent
I LOVE Now’s Cedarwood oil. Smells just like an old cedar chest. The two pack is really a great buy and I have no need to visit the big box stores that carry it. I usually diffuse alone or with either lavender, cinnamon, or rosemary. Such a calming scent. It fades somewhat quickly imho which is kinda a bummer but another Cedarwood oil species does the same. Recommend.

Great for keeping bugs at bay
I did a mix of water and probably approximately 5% of the cedar oil and sprayed it around the house and I've been noticing way fewer bugs. I also mix it with a carrier oil and rub it all over my body before I go out to work in the garden and it's definitely kept bugs away. Will continue to buy!!

Works as insect repellant
I was disappointed in the scent. I wanted Lane Cedar Chest smell and this doesn't come close. Per reviewers this was top rated and seemed the closest. I don't know if there are any essential oils that will truly smell like cedar. But I bought these for insect repellant use as well. We get ants. So annoying. I will spray the ants and the floor area where they are coming from. After a couple times on a harder spot it did the trick. This is an all natural insect repellant which is awesome. I tried on fruit flies in the summer but they just kept coming back. I would spray them and the cabinets where they would lay to deter them but they came back. I don't know about other insects. I like bugs and insects so I leave them alone except for ants, mosquitos, flies, and hornets really. I leave the spiders alone. If you want a great woody smell that's not super woody and that's all around aromatic and smells great get rosewood. Smells amazing.
