A superior monitor
I have tried just about every type of monitor on the market for IT over the last 30 years. Every now and then you bump into just a fantastic implementation, and this one is it.I'm driving it with a 2018 Macbook Pro, so I'm getting the max res/scanrate out of it. Which is jaw-dropping impressive. It looks like an enlarged version of the iMac 27, only much sharper.I use the USB hub to its fullest. No need to plug anything else into the Mac.It will also charge the Macbook Pro using same video USBC cable, so you can put away your external charger.I'm using the built in ethernet switch, which is my only complaint since it's just 100mb not 1gb. Why?Using a single included USBC cable for everything including video (Thunderbolt 3).Regular USBC-USBC cables won't work, it has to be a special kind for video and data (lucky you - they included one). They have to be short to avoid distortion, thus why I use the one in the box.Manual has to be downloaded and is pretty thorough.Bottom line, resolution for small terminal type text is unbelievably sharp. You can adjust the text size either from your app or OSX. It scales VERY well. Also using another 2015 Macbook Pro via HDMI (again with included cable) with same excellent maximum results. You can split screen them but I don't. You can use both computers at the same time.Powers down with OSX intelligence, when it wakes up or restarts remembers all screen and app positions.Flips 90deg with its included stand so you don't have to buy another one. It's got a 100mm VESA on the back if you want to go that route, which I may do as I have an arm that I need to put to use. It's using about ~110 Watts according to UPS, which includes keyboard, Macbook Pro, headset charger, phone, and a battery charger.I mean come on, what else could you ask for? Yes, it's expensive, but if you want this much monitor you'll just have to pay for it. Speaking of, some of its competitors are in the $1300 range so this one still comes out as a deal. I'll get another one for the right side and use it in landscape, as the first one is portrait. This monitor is not gimmicky or toyish, and is a beautiful flat (I get a little reflection but not much). I haven't used it for games yet as that's not my thing, but I see some of you do with great success.Good luck all you IT pros - you've found your monitor****AddendumDon't get hung up on this monitor's camera or speakers. Both are seriously bottom of the line and should be removed in version 1.1. Camera is 640x480 at best, and speakers are just little 1" speakers from a toy car. I'm sure Engineering meant them for system beeps only, and the camera probably for proximity. Just use speakers/camera on your laptop/desktop and be done with it. Rest of this device is 110% and worth every nickel!

Great monitor - mediocre camera, crap speakers
If you are looking for an excellent monitor with USB-C connection, USB 3 hub and even USB power delivery (like I was), this is the perfect one to get. I love the size, the picture quality, the brightness, the convenience of "one cable to my Mac", etc.I with they didn't bother with the camera (it's not terrible, but, meh) and the truly awful speakers (a tin can with some string would likely sound better). And drop the price by a couple of dollars (because I am certain that's all they spent on camera/speakers).

The panel failed in under a year
Monitor was fine for about 10 months, but then there were ghosting / image retention problems that slowly got worse until things were unreadable. I'm waiting for a warranty return from Philips.Update: 2 weeks later, still waiting on warranty information. I called for for the third time. yesterday, they said "tomorrow" I'd have a RMA and still nothing.

Decent product but with a few flaws that can be improved
I have a home Windows desktop and a work MacBook Pro that I use regularly and with the pandemic-induced work from home now becoming longer than previously expected, I decided to upgrade my monitor and laid out the following requirements to decrease the clutter on the desk of my home office:1) 4K or 5K resolution2) Multiple input sources3) Integrated Webcam4) Integrated speakers5) Integrated KVM switch so that I could use a common keyboard and mouse for both my Mac and PCAmazingly, there is no product in the market that could meet all these needs, so I relaxed my last requirement but even for the first four, there are just three products available in the market today-- LG 27MD5KL 27" Ultrafine 5K IPS Display, HP S340c EliteDisplay 34" curved display and this monitor (Philips Brilliance 329P9H 32" 4K UHD Monitor. The LG display only had 4 USB-C inputs and because it had no controls on the monitor (everything is controlled by the Macbook Pro), I was concerned about the PC compatibility. (If you only have an all Mac requirement and dont have an issue with the $1200+ price tag, I still highly recommend that beautiful display.) The HP S340c had a curved display that I was unsure about and is also a bit dated but had very good reviews-- there were also a few reviews that questioned the compatibility of the built-in Webcam with a Mac, which made me pause. I finally selected this Philips Brilliance 329P9H display since it had decent reviews and was also listed as Amazon's choice. That it is shipped by Amazon gave me some additional assurance if I had to return this for any reason. I have now been using it for a week and here is my feedback on it so far:The good- From the point of view of decreasing clutter on my desk and working seamlessly with both my PC and Macbook Pro, it works like a charm! All features work as advertised and claimed by Philips. There is now one USB-C cable from my Macbook Pro to this display and another HDMI cable from my PC to this display. I have a Macbook Pro 13, so the 65 Watts of power delivered via the USB-C cable is plenty to keep the Mac fully powered without the need for a separate power cable. (The keyboard and mouse for both my Mac and PC are wireless, which further decreases clutter on my desk.)- LOVE the large display-- not only has it improved my productivity but it is also ergonomic and helps me sit with the right posture.- Installation was straightforward- The USB hub is awesome as it allows a high level of integration- The large display is impressive and picture quality is very good. There are several negative comments on the Web about the picture quality only being SDR vs. HDR but at least for my work (and since I am not a graphics designer/artist), that does not bother me.- Also love the adjustable height of the monitor and the ability to tilt it to the desired angle- The Webcam can be popped down when not in use, which is a nice privacy feature. The not-so-good- The user interface is pretty cumbersome with an old-fashioned menu driven approach. Simple things such as muting the built-in speakers or changing the video source from/to my Mac and PC take about 3-4 button clicks, which is simply unacceptable in today's age. Steve Jobs would probably have thrown up if he came across such a UI! I am reasonably tech savvy and this does not bother me but others might find this very annoying.- The Webcam picture quality is mediocre perhaps because is a 2 megapixel camera. Because the display is large, the poor quality gets really magnified if the window is maximized! Acceptable for Zoom calls but for the price, I would have expected more.- For some reason, the standard Mac USB-C cable did not work when connecting my MacBook Pro to the Philips display. Mercifully, the USB-C cable shipped by Philips worked.- A minor annoyance is that the display does not automatically come back up when one of the computers that has gone to sleep wakes up. Perhaps there is a setting to fix this but I have yet to figure that out- The monitor is also unusually heavy-- the stand in particular, though very sturdy, is quite heavy. Wonder if Philips over-engineered this. The ugly- The speakers are well ... bad! Just really bad. All the reviews that I read on the Web point this out but I guess I still couldn't prepare myself for how bad it could be! There is zero base and so the sound quality comes across as very cheap; if you are working all day long and listening to this kind of audio, it will likely drain you out! If somebody from Philips is reading this, please let your product manager for this product know "What on earth were you thinking, esp. when your customer is paying $700 for this product?!". P.L.E.A.S.E. change this in your next version of the product! My overall rating for this product is 3 largely because of the lousy sound quality, mediocre Webcam and poor user interface and all these are part of the integrated experience for such a product. I have no regrets of purchasing this product and this remains the best choice among options available for my needs listed above. However, if there are better choices in the market that come out and you have needs similar to mine, you should consider those if Philips does not address these flaws on priority.

The Monitor You Have Been Waiting For.
We really like this monitor's color and uniform brightness across the huge 32" screen. Great stand with more height adjustment than any other monitor we've seen. No more sore neck! What really sets this apart from other monitors is the integrated docking station. Say goodbye to the nest of USB, power and video cables behind your monitor. A single USB C cable delivers 65 watts of power to our X1 Carbon laptop and a single power cord (no power brick) provides power to the monitor.Additional features include a built in camera that tucks away for privacy, energy saving user sensor, Gigabit Ethernet, great sound and a powered USB A port for charging a cell phone. This is the monitor you have been waiting for.
