HyperKewl 6530-HV-XXXL Evaporative Cooling Vest

Bought this for a motorcycle trip on a full dresser Harley cross country. It was 107 degrees riding at 80 mph down I-70 thru west Kansas! I can now tell you exactly what a turkey feels like in a convection oven!Anyway I broke out my vest and this is what I learned.1) It more than just a few minutes to thoroughly soak this thing in a gas station sink.2) You will get wet when you put it on. (At 107 degrees, who cares?)3) For the first half hour it works great! Really made a difference.4) For the second half hour it works OK with the cooling effect falling off as it dries out.5) After about 1 hour the vest was too dry to provide cooling and actually made things worse by being another layer of clothing.6) When fully wet the vest is quite heavy.Anyway there you have it. It does work fairly well for a while, but it is very hard to make miles cross country when you need to stop once an hour.
