I will simply say that I was wanting to replace some extremely old lamps that belonged to my grandmother with some new light bulbs. All the lamps had "3-way" switches, but had bulbs that were not three way bulbs.I was a bit curious to see if LED 3-way bulbs would work. To my delight, they work incredibly well.So, instead of wasting a lot of money and energy on the old incandescent 3-way bulbs, we how have wonderful light from these 3-way LED bulbs for a fraction of the price. And, from what I hear, these LED bulbs should last far longer than the incandescent lights would have.

Regarding the bulbs themselves, I am very pleased. I was looking for LED bulbs for my 3-way pole lamps that didn't flicker like my prior ones had. These bulbs work great for that purpose. No flickering (at least none so far), and three different luminosity levels. However, I was surprised they worked at all due to the horrific state of the packaging. The attached photo shows exactly how I received the bulbs, the bulbs loose inside a shredded cardboard case as if the packaging previously had been ripped open. Even the outer Amazon mailer was damaged. I would chalk it up to shipper damage, but the inside packaging was so damaged it looks to have been caused by something else(perhaps a returned product?). In any event, incredibly none of the bulbs were broken and all 4 appear to be working well.

I bought the 4 pack of three-way bulbs from Great Eagle and in a word they are GREAT! I put one in my bedroom lamp immediately and was instantly impressed with the quality of the light output and also the color temperature. I bought the 3000 degree bulbs for a warmer look and could not be more pleased. Unlike other LED bulbs I have seen, these bulbs are very well made, The base of the bulb is very precisely assembled and will, no doubt, last for a very long time. And the shape of the upper, round part of the bulb will easily allow a clip-on shade to fit. Overall, I think these bulbs will be in my lamps for many years to come!

I had not heard of Great Eagle before but, because of the lower price and that they sold a 4 pack, convinced me to try them. When they arrived a little later than i expected, i installed two of them in lamps that had burned out bulbs. they worked perfectly and the brightness of the 40/ 60/100 soft white light was nice and bright. The LED light bulb was very well put together and with a 22year life expectancy will probably outlive me. I highly recommend the purchase of this product and will buy them again to replace other incandescent 3-way bulbs.

To me, these are noticeably more white than the typical 2700K bulbs but obviously nothing like the super white 5000K bulbs. I prefer 3000K for most applications. The 40/60/100 range is almost ideal, I might like the 60 to be a little brighter but the 40 works well for general illumination. As other reviewers have noted, when changing from 40 to 60, the bulb seems to go briefly to 100 then back down to 60. It isn't a flicker per se, but is a little disconcerting until you get used to it.

First, I like that they are even available. I had not seen them before in stores. After having a brand new incandescent 3-way bulb fail right of the box and the rate of early failure with all our 3-way incandescents we searched the availability of LED 3-ways and were surprised to find these in a 4-pack at a reasonable price. The jury is out since we have just installed our first one. I dated the base when I installed it to have record of how long it will last. I believe these provide equivalent brightness to incandescents. It is too early to rate longevity and I assume they will be more efficient, but I don't think I have quantifying data to rate that. Trusting I will be happy with how well the last. Happy to see them on the market!
