The EB series bow thruster has a horizontally positioned motor to allow for a compact installation. The belt is a direct drive between the motor and the propeller shaft, there is no oil in the gear housing. The motor is positioned parallel with the tunnel, requiring virtually no height at all. This design is compact and enables installation in the most confined spaces. The EB series bow thruster is the choice for vessels where installation height is an issue. The gear housing and the tunnel bracket are one unit of 316 Stainless Steel which increases strength.
