After much research I got this. Glad it was a perfect fit.

I replaced a basically new 6 gallon Atwood water on our “new to us” 2018 Jay Flight travel trailer. Unfortunately they didn’t have a black one in stock as the original water heater cover was black. Once installed though it blends right in, so I’m happy with that. The only extra modification that I had to do was to add a piece of blocking next to the new water heater behind this plate and cover to make sure it was secured properly and this was clearly indicated in the instructions. The quality seems decent. Only time will tell the rest of the story.

Fit perfectly!But Note - Installing the Girard tankless/on-demand water heater as a replacement requires that you order the correct size door.Different makers of traditional waterheaters use a wide variety of unit sizes. The Atwood 6 gal in our Damon (now Thor Motor Coach) Outlaw had an opening that was much (just over 5") wider than the Girard Tankless unit.Measure twice, order once!The one we picked fit perfectly and covers the entire OEM opening.Only question is: why swing open to the left? That makes it a "suicide door" on our application. Obviously not a problem if your RV has the waterheater on the "passengerside."Very easy to install. Fit perfectly!

I purchased the Girard tankless water heater and needed this piece to cover it. The installation holes make it more secure than the original water heater and it looks much better than it did also. I'm incredibly happy with the whole purchase

I replaced a Dometic 6-gallon water heater with this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B019BWN8E2?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details and the door aligned perfectly with the exhaust of the water heater. My RV had a hole that fit the water heater exactly however this door covers part of the RV to the left of the water heater so insure you have space there. The door is decently built though it would be nice if it could open from either side. The door is only needed to turn off the unit (unless you wire the water heater to also use the inside water heater electric switch) or to service it.

The door was too small, and no mounting hardware was included, which extended installation time by trips to the hardware store.

Easy to install and it fit perfectly! I was elated to find this RV retrofit cover. I removed an outdated and inefficient Atwood hot water heater from my 1985 Fleetwood Wilderness travel trailer. It left a gaping hole that needed a new cover. This works perfectly! I had previously purchased and returned two marine hatch covers that didn’t fit. I was thrilled to find this one. It’s well made and looks like it belongs in the trailer.
