Aristotle (384 BC – 322 BC) was born in the Macedonian city of Stagira in Chalkidice region, but he moved to Athens when he became eighteen years old to become a student of Plato in the Academy of Athens, staying there for approximately twenty years. His writings cover an impressively large variety of topics including physics, metaphysics, biology, ethics, poetry, theater and music, rhetoric and politics. Perhaps his most important contribution to the Western thought is his study of formal logic (reasoning). Shortly after Plato’s death, Aristotle moved to Macedonia, where he became tutor of Alexander the Great. Our busts, offered in two color variations (white and yellowish/patina) are made by top quality alabaster. They are based on a Greek square marble. Aristotle bust can be an ideal home or office decoration for lovers of classical antiquity, and particularly for teachers and professors of history, philosophy and science.
