The light itself works great lights up the whole Road kind of like a high beam on a car but the battery that came with it is not a 6800 and it does not run for 3 hours it only runs for around a half an hour on high luckily I had an extra battery pack that is 6800 it lasts for about two and a half hours

Fraudulent Battery Pack
BUYER BEWARE! The battery pack that came with this light was supposed to be a 4 cell battery pack. Instead, it only had 2 battery cells and 2 metal plugs. The battery pack only provides about 10 minutes of light. Light is bright. Battery is useless. This is a Chinese scam. You have been warned.

Needs little engineering touch
Light is great, but if u connected to battery and not using it it will drain the battery, because it doesnt have disconnect switch and the LED battery indicator will replenish the battery in day or soo

Needs a better mounting solution.
Great light, but could probably use a better mounting solution. The light tends to slide down as you ride, such that it illuminates less and less of the road in front of you. It is a very bright light though, which somewhat alleviates the problem.

For more than just bicycles...
First of all, I'll start by saying I was contacted by Esscoe and invited to purchase this light at a discount in exchange for a fair and honest review. After checking out the listing, I got a notion in the back of my mind how I could put this light to good use, so I decided to give it a go. I'm glad I did. I bought a Mahindra tractor a few months ago, on which I've installed some LED lighting in order to boost my night time visibility. The only reason I purchased this light was for this purpose. Instead of mounting it to a bicycle as a headlight as it was intended by the manufacturer, I'm keeping it in the ammo box I use as a tool box on my tractor & using it as a spot light. With a little ingenuity I'll be able to modify the light casing in a way that will make it a very important part of my every day activities. Out of the box: the first thing I noticed is how well made this little light is. The light casing appears to be aluminum which is fin vented for cooling purposes. (you'll find the light itself gets a little warm to the touch on the medium and high settings). On the bottom of the light is a contoured bracket which is designed to fit on the top half of the handlebars on a bicycle. To hold the light to the handle bars, they've included a set of stiff rubber straps. They're designed to slip over a molded hook on one side of the bracket, wrap around underneath your handle bars, and snap into a little molded hooks on the other side of the bracket. At first I thought this idea was a little hokey, but after wondering why I remembered that not all handle bar sizes are uniform and this will allow you to mount the light on pretty much anything the strap will fit around. It's probably the best universal way to mount the light. The straps are fairly high quality, but I'm not sure how long they'll hold up if your bike sits out if the sun 24/7/365, as rubber tends to break down with UV rays & heat. This light comes with a standard 115v charger & a rechargeable battery pack that reminded me of one of those 6v dry cell batteries some flashlights take, only in miniature form, and instead of the two spring pole contacts like on the larger 6v battery, this pack has a power/charging cord coming out of the top that is used to both power the light, and charge the battery. There is also a small case the battery slides into with Velcro enclosures and straps for mounting purposes. Operation: this is a push button operated light with four operational settings. Once you connect the battery to the light via the battery power cable, simply push the rubber coated button switch once for low beam, a second for medium beam, and a third time for high beam. Pushing and holding the button down a few seconds turns on strobe mode. On the reverse side of the light (side facing operator) there are three green LED charge indicators that let the user know when the charge is getting low. I didn't time each charge level, but it seemed to take 20-30 minutes to drop to two indicators just from a factory charge on the battery. When I plugged it in to charge, it regained full strength in less than an hour. As far as functionality, I'm here to tell you I was impressed with how bright this light was merely on the low beam setting when I first turned it on. When I cycled thru the levels and finally got to the brightest, I was blown away (as was everyone I've shown it to). This light is SUPER bright (I'll post photos to give you an idea). Like most lights, it has a center focal point which is the brightest area of a light beam, but the wash (light field surrounding the focal point) is bright beyond belief as well. With this light, I can stand beside my house and shine it towards the back of my pasture and see the trees perfectly. It's 350 foot to the back of my pasture, people... To say the least I was BLOWN AWAY! Long story short, I would most DEFINITELY suggest this light to friends and family who might need one. I haven't seen them all, but this light has GOT to be one of the best for your buck. Hope this helps.Troy47/M/TX

High Performance light at a good price.
I've been on a constant hunt for a brighter bike light. So far this light offers the best and brightest fill / spot light out of the ones I've tried. I don't believe it's 5000 lumens but it is bright. I was able to see reflection of light off of a house windows, street light, and cars rear lights/license plates from a quarter mile down the street. PROs: -These lights offer a bright fill / spot combination then others lights I've tried that are both cheaper and more expensive then this light.-The construction of the light itself is made of a nice metal and feels pretty solid.-It offers 4 modes low, medium, high and strobe which is pretty standard for most basic lights.-They perform exceptionally well for their price point.-The battery life is better then the majority of USB rechargeable headlights. CONs: -The great battery life comes at the cost of having an external battery pack and a wire that needs to run to that pack. Other reviewers have complained about the cable length but it's better to have it longer then too short in my opinion. I've found a way to keep it neat and out of the way.-The mounting hardware leaves room for improvement. It comes with two different sized rubber straps that don't have extra slots for adding more tension. The light could benefit from either a clamp style or just a rubber strap that has more adjustability.-The power button seems a little weak time will tell how long it lasts.-The battery pack is just a wrapped set of 18650s. I have another light that is enclosed in a harder shell and it allows you to use it as a backup power supply for your USB devices. • CONCLUSION • For the price they are amazing, I was looking at this light along with others and I lucked out and got these with a little discount. They are bright and the external battery pack doesn't bother me. I like having two lights for when I go on rides. It is always good to have a backup. If you're looking for an affordable pair of bright lights add this to your list of lights to compare. You can look at the pictures I posted, i angled them down a little to not disturb neighbors but also because my phones camera doesn't capture how far these lights really shine straight ahead very well. •• I did receive this Esscoe 5000 Lumen x3 light at a discounted price, in exchange for an honest review.
