Good ending
Despite what others have said, this was one of the better New 52 series. Great art, great story and an emphasis on family and relationships. The last 2 issues were the best of this collection.

A Sad End For Nightwing
While this volume features some of the best writing in the entire Nightwing New 52 series, I also hated the stupid, fan-boy fight, that basically put an end to Nigthwing. If it wasn't confirmed before, this officially solidifies that the 1996 Nightwing series is both the better & the true Nightwing series/canon/history/etc. & once again without reading Batman & other New 52 stories, there is a lot missing that could leave the reader confused. Also on a little side note, my favorite supervillain of all time & one of Dick Grayson's greatest foes of all-time, Deathstroke, only appears once in the entire series & it's as a cameo by a shape-shifter in a single panel. Talk about a let down & a tease (which a weak Rogue's Gallery for Nightwing was one of my biggest complaints of the entire series). Not to mention there's no Ravager/Rose Wilson either!

Kinda weak but still great
The story was OK, but a nice ending to Dickβs Nightwing era of the new 52

Kyle Higgins has crafted a wonderfully believable Nightwing Story in Five books
The end of the New 52's Nightwing Series (for now).In order to understand this book, you're going to need to read (or know) another Story in which people think Dick Grayson is dead. Other reviewers will tell you more about that. I'm going to talk about this book and story.Kyle Higgins has crafted a wonderfully believable Nightwing Story in Five books. Raised in circus it's become apparent that Dick Grayson simply cannot stay in one place. He's in Gotham, he's on the Road with the Circus, he's in Chicago, he wants to build a permanent Circus in Gotham, he's back in Chicago but he wants to live in Gotham... never feeling at home. Same way with his women, too.All in all, if you are looking to buy book five you should have already bought volumes 1-4 so what stop now?

A Fitting End
This book is basically an epilogue to the first 4 volumes along with the final included issue being a prologue to the next (and fantastic) Dick Grayson storyline simply titled Grayson. My personal rating would have been five stars because I've read all the events that lead up to this volume's conclusion, but the more casual collectors may be a bit thrown by the final issue in this volume. It follows the aftermath of the DC event Forever Evil, and even making sense of that event would be difficult if you haven't read Trinity War before that. Overall a great close of the Nightwing line, but be warned that you may need to consult a wiki or two if you aren't interested in diving into the larger DC universe.

A must read for those following Nightwing's latest series
Kyle Higgins run on Nightwing comes to a close. His run has been great despite all the tie ins with Batman. This is a must read for those following Higgins run as it reaches its (in my opinion too soon) conclusion. The last issue was kind of all over the place since its setting up Grayson. Definitely enjoyed the book, the story, and the art. If you haven't read the previous volumes, do yourself a favor and start from the beginning.

A bit confusing
The book was ok and I get that it only collects the final issues of the series and Zero Year, however you feel completely lost missing the issues that have to do with Dick's identity exposed as Nightwing. This is something that really should have been included as it just ends on that last issue on a lull. I don't buy individual issues so I have no clue what to even look for. I can imagine I may not be the only one who feels that way.

The Grand Finale
Here we read the final issues of the Nightwing series, and I'm not disappointed, nor blown away by it either. The volume starts off quite generic, with standalone things for this hero to consider. We get to see Dick Grayson's 'Zero Year' survival, and then are pulled back into the previous volume's setting, with the typical 'helping out insignificant characters to the plot' vibe. Halfway through sees him revisiting his whole New 52 journey, and leaving the readers who have been with him from the start of this in a state of remembrance. Personally, I thought the artwork and story was great to help capture those years. Then it gets to the final issues. If you're unaware of the other comics that are featured in the New 52 series it gets terribly confusing, so much that you have to check that there wasn't an issue missing. The most important thing is completely removed from the comic's plot as it is featured in a different one, this being 'Forever Evil'. I am still to read this, but leaving this out kind of ruined the ending for me, thus me rating it a four rather than a five. Otherwise it was a good read and I liked the twists and turns some of the issues had to offer.
