Vocal-Star Karaoke Machine with Microphones, Bluetooth, Party Songs, Records & Scores Singing, Bass & Treble Controls, VS-1200 (Wireless 150 Songs)

This kit is very good value and is ideal if you want to use Karaoke at a party on an occasional basis. The unit is very easy to set up (phono leads straight to your amplifier) and connects easily to bluetooth. I used a karaoke app (Karafun) which allows an 8 day subscription (or longer) and gives access to 20,000 songs and lyrics. I used my ipad bluetoothed to the Vocal-Star and we took the lyrics off that screen - no wires etc. The wireless mics work well, although the leads that need plugging in from the wireless transmitter create a bit of wiring bulk and the plugs didn't feel very tight - but it all worked well. My only niggle is that it takes a bit of time to 'balance' the backing and vocals - the individual mic volume controls don't seem to do that much and the echo control is very pronounced - even a micro turn creates a substantial echo. Overall though, it looks professional, is very versatile and easy to use and makes a good noise for a great socially distanced gathering (apart from some truly appalling singing from my neighbours). I haven't used the cd's as it seemed a bit of a faff - youtube always has the songs and lyrics available if you can put up with the ads. I would recommend this kit - especially if you go for the bundled deal with the wireless mics - they are alot easier to move around with and it is good value wiht them included.

Easy set up with supplied leads.Only tried on small speaker system so far but sounds pretty good. Useful feature is Bluetooth, so you can play songs from your phone and sing along! Ripping feature so discs can be backed up on usb stick. Lots of features I haven’t begun to explore yet!

The Vocal Star VS 1200 arrived very quickly and I was impressed by the equipment and its capability provided for its cost. Although I had thought it might be a bit difficult to connect up and use it was not. I easily and effectively got the machine and its microphones working using the HDMI lead provided. I've used it on 2 different TVs so far one with stereo speakers and another with a soundbar. TV image, words and music all sync effectively with the microphone vocal input. The /100 scoring system is a handy feature too.

not happy with this product at all.Bought this thinking the kids would have a great time using this machine.Already wired up in a media cabinet , so no machines on show,great!Set the machine up, easy enough. Start to play music the mics have a delay. tried every thing,the mics are so behind when your singing. the tv and machine are at either end of the room.read up on instructions on web site,sound needs additional leads that go in tv(no good eqiptment not together).Now because i have used it for over 20 mins trying all diferent sound checks as per manufactures instuctions. i am unable to return it.JOKE. I SPENT A LOT OF MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY. They dont even answer the phone so you can get help from them. Help line. What help line. feel ripped off, very dissapointed. mugged

bought so could rip my cdg collection and karaoke dads, fed up changing discs, and them getting scratched so bought this thinking copy my discs have only small usb and sd carry case . Tried my mp4 usb/ sd cards did not recognise but thought not end of the world just tip my cdg at first confident they was recognised and listed but when tried to play either skipped to part way through song or words and music out of sync on screen . Frustrated because some songs copied ok others grrrrrrr. Sent back next day . Disappointed because wireless mics, sd and usb card slots, and disc slot for cdg tuning nobs was perfect . It was everything I was looking for at good price for home and going to friends. Also no hdmi cable so not work straight out of box because my TV not have old connection.

Easy to use but more complicated to get the right mic sound against music. This system would make a excellent PA system for talking as microphones are clear and the sound can be very loud. For karaoke it is hard to balance the microphones as they are so loud with the correct amount if backing music for novice karaoke. This is the only headache we have found setting up for the kids. This is a good way to create lockdown fun at home.

After researching Karaoke machine options on-line, this was my third choice machine, but my first and second choices weren't available in the timescale I needed so I ordered it. Packaging quality was good and the product build quality looked good. I connected it via HDMI to a Samsung smart TV with a Sonos soundbar. The instructions are printed with densely packed lines and small font size, so not easy to follow, but setting up wasn't difficult, just overly complicated. I learnt that a smart TV and soundbar combination causes a delay with the microphones, so to make it work, I had to disconnect the soundbar and use the TV speakers which aren't anywhere near as good as a soundbar.The graphics are poor quality and look like something from the 90's. Navigating with the remote control wasn't easy because the majority of the buttons didn't seem to do anything.Selecting the song you want from a CD requires you to keep skipping tracks until you find what you want. Ripping to an SD card didn't work, but I did manage to rip some tracks to a USB drive. Song detail isn't transferred, so you end up with Track 01, Track 02 etc. If you rip more than one CD onto the stick, it isn't easy to work out what the tracks are without taking it to a PC and over-writing each track (two entries per track).Although I could see the device on my phone using Bluetooth, I couldn't connect to it and that ruled out a major reason why I purchased this device.Over the course of three days, I persevered with this machine and tried to make it work, but on day three, I gave up.

I like the fact that the volume quality is good. But when buying I was thinking that i will not need to connect wire behand the tv. I thought it was all wireless. I had to connect it n my computer instead because because the new version of tv do not have such connection.
