POWERTEC 2-1/4" Fence Flip Stop for Table Saw, Miter Saw, and Drill Press, T Track Accessories for Woodworking, 1PK (71135)

Shame on me for not reading more closely before buying this. Two things should have caught my attention. Firstly, the bolt it comes with is 5/16, not the more standard 1/4 some of us use for jigs and fixtures. Secondly, the flip arm is only 2 1/4 inches long limiting the height of the fence.My application is an extension fence for my home miter saw. I was thinking about just screwing some "standard" t-track on the edge of a 3/4 inch board fence to use this stop. But, then, I'd lose about another 1/4 inch even if I didn't have the 5/16 bolt problem.Fixes: Use a 1/4 inch bolt instead of the supplied 5/16 bolt. I already have the PowerTec "knob" kit. If the 1/4 bolt won't tighten up "enough", maybe I can add some kind of sleeve.Still mount a "standard" t-track on top of the 3/4 inch board but fabricate a "sleeve" for the stop finger on my 3D printer. That way, I can make the effective length of the finger (and height of the fence) anything I want.The overall quality of this item is very good. It has 'anti-rotation" features that look like they'll still work in a narrower t-track. It's design allows using in a number of different orientations. I have several PowerTec products and have been very pleased with quality, function, and price. So, this purchase is just another "ready, fire, aim" episode in my life.

Bought two of these to use on a fence for my compound miter saw. I wanted to be able to set up two stops so I could trim the rough end and then trim to length. The flip stops work really well and I recommend them. Just be sure to build the fence after you have them in your shop so you can precisely make the fence to work with the stops.

They are as good as more expensive ones. I use them alot. More so than razor blades.

The body fits t-track that has a channel of .350" or more. Kreg is .300" and Incra is .335". Also, be aware of the dimensions...it is small. The amount the arm sticks out BELOW the t-track is only 2.2". Other than that, it's a good stop. The flip down arm can move easily yet has no deflection when down, unlike the Kreg Flip-Stop which is somewhat sloppy unless you tighten it to the point of making it difficult to flip.

I'm in the process of making a sliding sled for my table saw and this is going to help in making accurate cuts along with repeatable cuts

This flip-up stop is an ideal addition to my crosscut sled for my table saw. It's sleek and easy to position for consistent and repeated cuts.

But I cant, too much slop.

Way too much give in these, they don't really do a great job as a stop. It's nice that you can arrange them in a few different ways, but in any way I've tried the amount of deflection is pretty bad. Don't press your materials into it very hard if you want accuracy. Most Powertec stuff seems to be hit and miss ... and this one's a miss for me. Didn't last a week until I pulled it off my track and replaced it. Even tried it on a couple of different tools but same issues everywhere. If you need something solid keep looking.

Ordered this out if the blue, was sure what to expect. Made a fence for my mitre saw that is removable as I always end up moving the saw. This was the perfect stop, there is zero side to side play in it. When you tightened it down for a certain length it stays exactly there, and very little pressure is needed to keep it tight. I didn't read the description as well as I should have and bought the normal t track. It fits the track but the slot on the stop is 5/16 I believe and my track has a 1/4 inch slot. It actually works really well with the regular track and still no movement. I bought the proper track later on, but now am in no hurry to change it just for the bottom of the flip stop to sit in the track. Would recommend the powertec t track but all in all this is a great stop regardless!

El material y acabado se ve muy bien, lo voy a usar con una valla de la misma marca en una sierra radial de banco, el único detalle es que el tope no queda ajustada a la cara de la valla, le voy a adaptar un taquete de madera para aquellas piezas de madera delgadas que dese cortar de manera repetitiva.

Works for fence with track on top or behind. I don't understand what is meant by "Thickness" or "Sheerness". I gave those categories 5 stars as I don't think the rating should suffer because someone can't translate things into English properly.
