A nice alternative to Frenchpress
A nice alternative to Frenchpress, as it brews coffee on the same principle, so not that much difference in the cup. A bit harder to fill with coffee, as you have to throw it in using the small special spoon provided (a funnel would've done a much better job), but other than that it's easy to use and clean. Due to it's shape you won't be able to clean it cristal clear, but running water in it will do a decent job. I use it only for coffee, without the filter provided, and I can say that it holds in most of the coffee residue. The coffee residue that gets into the cup it's about the same amount as with Frenchpress or Aeropress, so it's pretty good at filtering without having an actual filter attached. It looks nice, it's cool and you'll definitelly impress whoever you'll be brewing coffee for. It can make around 500ml of coffee.

A nice touch to maiking coffee, just a little difficult getting the grains into the body of the brewer. I hadn't realised just how 'sticky' coffee grains are; i use a small funnel, but it's slow. It seems best to 'swirl' the mix until all grains settle into the 'just of boil' water. and then not to disturb for 2 - 3 minutes before pouring slowly. No good for when you are in a hurry. More relaxing though.

Love It!
I first discovered the Boilbrew when I had loose leaf tea from Lush in Oxford Street. Impressed by the quirky design, I decided to buy it for use in our static caravan. I like that it's a space saver, as it can be used for both tea and coffee. It's been used a few times so far, for coffee, and I love it! Easily rinsed out in the sink. Waiting for it to brew is no problem when on holiday either, as you're there to relax. I go for 10min for coffee.

Fine grounded coffee hard to pour without clogging
The product works fairly well, it seems if you use a fine grounded coffee that it clogs up leaving some of the brewed coffee behind and unable to pour all of the liquid into cups. At least this is my assumption of the problem, as I can’t get all my brewed coffee out when pouring. In other words it seems only a medium to course grounded coffee works, which is a little disappointing.

Can't believe I fell for this
I use a french press, its easy to use and clean, and it produces good coffee ... this is a glass jar... its none of those things ... what was I thinking.... I don't know how long you have to wait for the ground coffee to settle but its not 4-8 mins... i left it for 15 and there was still a good 15-20% of the grinds poured out.... in the morning i prefer my coffee before its lunchtime and cold Worth noting that 7 of the 8 "5 star" people have only reviewed this one product.... nothing else... i think you can work out what that means....

Perfect for One.
Having used a number of ‘Coffee Machine’ in the past I have found that each has its own drawback. At long last I have found one that I have yet to find a drawback. This one has a Reusable Coffee Filter that does not let the fine grounds through as most reuseable filters do, its size is perfect for one person and its design is very pleasing.

Don't bother
A difficult to clean coffee filter. The filter of which isn't brilliant itself.

Convenient and great coffee.
I'm so glad I decided to buy the boilbrew and not a french press. This is so incredibly easy for use at work. Put in your ground coffee (with added scoop), add water, give it a good swirl and put it down for 4-8 minutes. I prefer 8 minutes. Then place filter, pour it out and enjoy a brilliant cup of coffee. Beats drip by far! It's almost comparable to my siphon coffee maker at home which is a great compliment! The glass is quite thick so not easy to break. The rubber sleeve around the neck insulates it enough to not burn yourself. The filter you insert is made very well and doesn't let any coffee through. Very easy to clean as well. I hesitated when buying this product, but it's proven it's worth and more! I would pay double the price knowing how good it is! Great job Boilbrew Crew!
