Best filter I have ever used!

Installation was easy. I dont really know what else to say. Oh, it comes with brass fittings which was nice, i just used the existing nylon fittings from the old filter. Water still tastes like water, i guess that's a plus. Didnt see much or any carbon flecks in the water either. I bought this because it was the cheapest price at the time.

I've always thought that filters shouldn't cost so much but this was the lowest price I could find. I bought this for 10.68 to use as a pre filter for my Samsung refrigerator since the water filter case inside failed because it clogged up. (Samsung refrigerators has a filter case which you install the internal filter into. But the water goes into the case before the internal filter (terrible design defeats purpose of filter) so that the filter case can get clogged. When it does you have to replace it for a few hundred dollars. This is why I also have to have a pre filter outside the refrigerator so that the filter case doesn't get clogged). So I use both an outside pre filter and a filter inside the refrigerator.This was easy to install but you should use plumber's tape around the screws and tighten it because water will leak if you don't do this.

We needed this specific item for out humidifier in our home. Amazon was one of the few places that had it in stock and would arrive in a timely manner.

Easy installation works

The supplied fittings are for COPPER SUPPLY LINES ONLY, if you try to install a plastic line with the supplied fittings it will leak, period.You also don't need to gorilla-mode tighten these things, put a little teflon tape on the part that screws into the filter, then tighten the ferrule-crimp top part until it's snug, that's it.If you over-tighten it will warp and leak, possibly damaging the threads.If you don't use teflon tape/paste (normally use tape for potable water source stuff) then it will possibly leak.If you use the supplied metal supply line fittings on a plastic supply line it will leak.If you still can't figure it out, hire a professional who knows what they're doing.

Easy to install all the fitting are included. Just be careful with the small copper O rings or they will leak.I use it under the sink to refill my coffee maker.

Fit 1/4 inch braided, brass or plastic lines fine with the fittings provided. Use pipe Teflon tape or pipe sealant on the threads that screw into each end of the filter and screw them in firmly but not overly hard. The fittings are a pipe thread that screw into the filter at each end. The other end of the fitting fits 1/4 inch brass tubing, Plastic tubing will work however you need to purchase plastic ferrules to do it right. Even better you can use braided stainless water supply lines, 1/4 inch sized, that work well without the brass ferrules and brass nuts that come on the fittings supplied with this filter. I used a short braided supply line into the filter in my basement where the water valve for the fridge is and then a longer braided line out of the filter to go thru the floor to the back of my fridge. I ran water thru the filter into my laundry sink for a few minutes to flush some carbon dust out of the filter before hooking it up to the line going to the fridge. Used a couple of velcro straps stapled to the ceiling joist in the basement to hold the filter in place.

Worked well. Easy to install for my son. Not expensive.

We are on town water and it tastes fine but added this filter inline for the fridge just for the sake of having filtered water. With this EZ-Flo filter the water had a bad taste that everyone who drank it would say it tasted funny. Left it on for a couple of months but never got any better. I just replaced it with another different brand of filter and water is great now. This one was cheaper but still just a waste of money.
