Contentment: A Way to True Happiness

To be read and reread
Robert A. Johnson was a master at expressing complex esoteric ideas so simply that anyone can gain understanding. I have read nearly all his books and plan to read the the couple I have not. This particular work has helped in confirming my own perspective on what is important in life. Contentment is there at the top. I will definitely read this again after some time has passed.

Great Book. I need to buy it again!
This is an amazing book. Insightfull. I leant it to someone, so now need to buy it again, because I want to leave them with the book! So I will purchase again. Short, and makes you think. Especially loved the bit at the end about how in the past people lived less for themselves, and more for "community". If their community was doing OK, but they were dying, it didn't really matter, as their part had built up the community. It's a bit better worded than that though...

Finding Wisdom in our External World
This was a refreshing read - Discusses deep wisdom - the things that are forgotten in our world of externals. We need to step back and understand what is really going on - in us and our desires and fears. This short, incisive read about things internal, helps one find those places within that are felt, but not always known.I have given copies to friends and family to share this illuminatingdiscussion of what is and how it can change your life. Similar ideas with E. Tolle's
An interesting reading, but very similar in many point with E. Tolle's ideas of 'living in present', 'enjoy the NOW'; even some examples were similar (like paying attention to the soap that swirls through your fingers).I was expecting maybe a little bit more, a little bit clearer tradeoff definition between how to live in the present, but still have motivation to make plans, by thinking about the future.

Peace inducing
Whenever I need more peace in llife, I find it in the books of Robert A. Johnson. This one is a wonderful checklist for inner equillibrium. Deceptively short, each of the points it makes could easily be a subject of a separate book. Peace and love.

must read
Robert Johnson's books are all brilliant and written in such a way that they are easy to understand and the reading proceeds quickly. Using the power of myth and story makes the book informative, insightful and enlightening. I shall read it a second time and make sure that I not only pass it on but have a copy on my bookshelf.

Johnson gives a clear understanding of contentment from a Jungian perspective. I have had difficulty connecting what he has written with a Christian understanding of contentment or a Buddhist understanding.

This is one of the best book I ever read!
This is a little manual of instructions to find (better, be founded by) Contentment and preserve it. It teaches how act less from our ego perspective and more from a collective and spiritual perspective. It is wrote in 1999 but I think it applies perfectly to our everyday life.

This is a book beautifully written and very pertinent to our time
This is a book beautifully written and very pertinent to our time. The author really unabashedly, straightforwardly yet gently and even soothingly hits the mark regarding this rarely considered subject. I value this book greatly.

Quietly brilliant
There are all sorts of self help books that quite frankly are a waste of your time. This book is eloquent, sound and ultimately very helpful. Written by the brilliant Robert A Johnson the jungian analyst and author, he has so much to offer to re-align us to what is important in our lives.
