However, the metal bends easily if too much pressure is applied, and they’re not strong enough to secure thicker hair for long periods. These definitely slip less than standard run of the mill Bobby pins. The tips stick up more than typical which is annoying if you need them hidden. The were easier to hide in my wavy hair than in my daughter’s slick straight hair, but they stayed put in her hair better than a standard pin- so while they aren’t a perfect design, they are a step in the right direction.

daughter needed these to keep hair up for marching band. They work good and match her hair color.

These actually stay put! I have fine hair and most bobby pins slide out, but these hold all day. Perfect color match too.
