I love how light this rail system is and ease of putting together. Thankfully, I only need to use once per log to create the level wood platform for the chainsaw mill. I can see this rail becoming wabbly or coming loose at the connections due to the system employed. My recommendation to the developer is a cheap fix by using a modified low profile wing nut so the user can quickly and easily tighten the nuts at the connections throughout the cut. These modified wing nuts will help in quickly attaching extensions as well.

It is much easier to take with you when you are in the mountains cut up trees. However I do need to get my wood cut and stacked . That way I will have it already to go when it dries out fully.

Included hardware is poorly manufactured and never should have passed any kind of quality control. The heads and threads are irregular , and some of the leveling screws fit so loosely that won't stay put once the chainsaw starts up and vibrates the rails. I've had better results with a weathered 2x6 than with this piece of crap.

First off the directions are terrible, use the picture and most can figure it out! The washers are to big to fit the slot for attaching the push handle so I left them off and double nutted it instead. The plexiglass shield is absolutely useless as it can not be attached as described, so don’t use it wear safety glasses and other protective gear and you’ll be ok. As for construction of the whole mill only time will tell, but, with most products coming out of China it not a high end manufacturing chainsaw mill it’s cheap and I think it’s going to be a pain eventually as things wear out! That said I’ll probably switch to High Strength Wingnuts and other hardware as it does wear out. But I own a lathe and miller where I can make my own parts. Either way I say good luck 🍀 because we are going to need the luck and a pinch of salt...lol

While this product would be great for a 9 ft tree, it’s impossible to attach the rails together to mill a larger tree as the company doesn’t provide the parts to attach the rails together. Also, the leveling screws are so short that the tree needs to be near perfectly straight for the whole system to work correctly.

I have been using this chainsaw mill with the husky 460 rancher chainsaw. I have already cut over twenty slabs of hardwood and it still going strong.
