Works Well. phone will fall off if you hit a bump or pothole but I guess that is expected. on one vehicle it is slightly in the way of the gear shifter and on another vehicle completely blocks the displays on the radio, but overall is better than having the phone laying on the seat. is nice to have the phone up where you can see who is calling or when using navigation on the phone.

I have a big LG G4 phone and was worried that this mount wouldn't be able to hold it, but it does (in landscape position). Good strong magnet. Having it in the CD slot is much better than the suction dash mount I had before which blocked my rear view camera screen. And it's easier to reach being in the CD slot (I don't have to lean way forward to put it on/off the mount), so I really like that. My only issue is that my CD slot is angled upwards and there isn't enough rotation on the mount head to position my phone downward enough for my liking and to reduce glare. I tried inserting the mount upside down, but that didn't work at all. Others may not have this issue. But overall, I really like the mount. Oh and CDs play fine with the mount inserted.

First, the good: The CD tray part works pretty well; it was held very securely in place there. If you have an Android phone with tasker, you can set the magnetic field sensor to launch a "car mode" or something similar, though this is a feature of any magnetic mount and not special to this one.That said, everything else is kind of bad. The circular pad that has the magnets inside it slides around very easily which leads your phone to swing back and forth, and there's not really a good way to stop that. And that's even assuming that the weak magnets even hold your phone there; they're weak and with the (very) thick pad on the holder, if you put the magnetic plate inside a phone case that's even a little thick, your phone will fall off. (On top of that, if you have a wireless charger, the plate will block that from working, but that's a feature of any magnetic mount)So, I'd say this is a hard skip. Does it have redeeming features? Sure. But if you want a magnetic mount, look for one that doesn't rotate so easily and has a better magnet.

First time using a magnetic mount and yes, it does fall off every once in a while, but for the majority of time it remains on the mount.I have a phone cover and i always hated having to take the phone out to place on mount with adjustable holders. this eliminates that and is the strongest selling point.One less star is for the back that the screw on the bottome to hold hte mount into cd slot- obstructs the navigation/screen below it. I have to look below it to view the screen even without the phone. Just be aware of the mount with layout of the dash of your car.

The magnetic holder was loose so I had to glue that back on. But what bothers me the most is the tightening hook on the bottom. It sticks out to much and just looks ugly

Doesn't hold my Galaxy Note 4 well. It keeps dropping after a while. FYI: My Note 4 has a Samsung-branded case which doesn't add much weight to the phone.

I went through so many bull$%*# car holders/mounts before I finally got to this one. Should have bought it in the first place. This car mount is actually legit. My boyfriend (who has a Samsung Galaxy phone) has had this one in his car for almost 2 years, and he bought one for me (I have an Iphone 6) after seeing me try and fail at purchasing one on my own. This mount is the only one I've ever had that has (1) not fallen out EVER while driving and (2) the phone has never fallen off it while I'm driving. IT ACTUALLY WORKS. IT IS A GOD SEND. The phone swivels easily up and down, side to side, at whatever angle you want. CD slots are becoming obsolete, I never used it before for playing music or anything so I just keep it in the slot in my car at all times. I can't stress enough how great this mount is. Me and my boyfriend both have them and love them. I recently bought their Air Vent car mount for my friend who has a car that doesn't have a cd slot, I'm hoping it works just as well as this one.

The one I received looks like it had been opened previously. Both of the adhesive metal plates were not in the box.Update: I returned the product to Amazon and re-ordered, same issue. It seems like the product is not being advertised correctly on this page. It may be because I didn't have a piece of steel thick enough, but the magnet did not hold my phone very well at all. A minor flick of my wrist and the phone just falls off. Not sure if the hold is better with one of the OEM metal plates that should be included with this product (but aren't).
