North American Pet Rock Sculptured Lava - Small

Not that that's a bad thing. I bought this an accident, forgetting I already had one for my 5gal tank...but after seeing it, i liked it so much that I decided to keep it and work it into my decor for the 20gal I'm setting up.Lava rocks are great places for your beneficial bacteria to grow, which helps keep your tank clean and healthy.

This is a very cute rock for aquariums, but it simply isn't big enough in my opinion, I have a 55 gallon tank and its not the star of the show that I wanted it to be, it is great at sucking up the bad nutrients, and my plecos and Blue Electric Chilid seems to love it,but it is VERY SHARP so you might wanna file some of the poke edges before putting it in the tank, and keep it away from the sides and back of the tank to avoid hurt fishies. I actually ended up cutting one of my fingers accidentally handling this rock out of the packaging

It was large for my small Beta tank So, I used a small saw and took off the bridge. Perfect size now. Also, people commented on the sharpness. All you have to do is use another rough rock and rub them together to sand it down. I also used my small hand saw to take off some larger sharp spots. Then, after a scrub brush and light 30 minute boil it was good to go. Its a great product!

It's basically a lava rock or varying shapes and sizes with a hole in the center. It's sharp all over (this is normal for lava rocks). Make sure to rinse it well, it's a little dirty-ish. I'd say try it if you want, but monitor your fish. If you own a fish with long flowing fins (ex: betta) then this might be bad for them.

I know it's just a lava rock, but I love how it looks in the aquarium. It's fun to see fish hanging out in the hallowed out center, and it adds a cool touch of color (at least in my aquarium where I don't really have anything red colored).It's just a nice natural piece of decor, and I'd imagine if I found a similar rock decoration at my local pet supplier it'd be double the price. Definitely happy, and would recommend to anyone interested.

As long as you rinse it well and run your hands around it to pop off the few loose pieces it is great!

Nothing wrong with the rock itself, I wanted a larger one but it was out of stock. I ended up putting this rock in my betta tank because it is a small. I do like it and it fits and looks very nice.

Love it in my aquarium! The company sent me 2, which I wasn’t expecting but was a pleasant surprise. My fish enjoy hanging out in it and the danios like to chase each other through the hole.
