Ka-Bar 2212 Original "ZOMBRO" Fixed Blade Knife, Zombie Green

I am a knife collector with everything from $400 Microtechs to $75 Kershaws. I know a great knife when I see one and I field test all of them. There is not one bad thing that can honestly be said about this knife unless you are trying to be an elitist. 1095 Cro-Van is great knife steel, although it can rust (black protective coat prevents rust), it is extremely strong, but with the right amount of give and easy to sharpen. This type of steel gives you the perfect hardness, but will not break, chip, or crack easily when striking hard objects. The Kraton G handle is beautiful shade of acid green, for all that enjoy hunting the walking dead in style and transitioning grip without slippage. The edge is razor sharp out of the box, and the serrated spine works great for sawing through wood or fibrous material. The weight is absolutely perfect, especially considering this is a 9.375" full tang blade. If you are an experienced thrower, you can also get a great half turn (no spin) throw that digs deep, in a worst case scenario. If you are not close to an ax, this thing will also chop the holy hell outta some wood and to baton logs in half is cake. The price point is just ridiculous considering what you get. Only complaint I could reach for is the leather sheath. I think it is usable, but it needs some slight modifications to be good. I never buy a knife based on the sheath though, and this is more of an afterthought than a selling point. S.I.E.G.E. tested Zombie Silencer approved!

Yes. This is the knife to own. The blade is ridiculously sharp straight out of the box and it's size is large and definitely in charge.The blade edge could use a little attention, but nothing you can't do on your own.As others have stated, the weak Chinese sheath doesn't do this blade justice.I would NEVER buy a blade based on the sheath, but USA made knife matched with a cheap Chinese sheath only warrants 4 stars.

I love Ka-Bar fixed blade knives! the size of this blade is a beast! the handle feels comfortable in hand. the ergos on the handle is good & the traction is super. the over all size and design is great for tactical and hard use edc tasks. the blade is wicked sharp right out the box & built solid. i love the zombie killer theme and the cool zombie green colored handle. this knife is basically the Ka-Bar "Big Brother" but with the zombie green handle. i love this knife!

BIG Knife. What can you say??? It's a Kabar.I own the Big Brother version with the leather handle. It is a great knife. This is a very big knife. It is a show-off knife since it looks really only useful for cutting big things and chopping.Having stated the obvious, it comes in quite handy for a variety of camping tasks. I really like the saw back that lets me saw through items that I don't want to dull my edge on. I found that once you get used to the size, you will use it for a lot of normal tasks, but you will never forget how big this knife is. If you like the regular Kabar 7" fighting knife for all around use, but you want something bigger... then this is it (truly a big brother).The Zombro is of course the same thing but with a green Kraton handle and black sheath. It took me a long time to come to terms with purchasing the second one which I only bought for the different handle. I'm still not sure why I bought a second one... I guess that I wanted to see if the grass was greener on the other side... in this case the handle... which it is.Both knives weigh the same (a few grams off), both feel the same except for the immediate contact of the handle. Both the Kraton and Leather are excellent. The Leather is an excellent handle, and I always like a good leather handle, but if you think that you might need to sanitize your knife after skinning or butchering, then I might say go for the Kraton.Either way, this is a very nice knife.
