Sizzix Thinlits Die Set , Wildflower Stems #1 by Tim Holtz, 5 Pack, One Size, Multicolor 5 Piece

I resumed my card making hobby and ordered these to rev up my creativity. I painted the heavy white card stock die cuts with Tim Holtz distress ink oxide paints. Truly loved the effects.

I love this product. The quality of the product is good and an addition to my creative outlets.

For those saying these are “dull,” this type of thin metal die isn’t supposed to be sharp and doesn’t even have blades. They cut with pressure. Sometimes you have to add shims (paper or cardstock) over the entire surface of the die or just spot shim in areas that don’t want to cut cleanly, but that’s the same with any dies and depends on the machine. And it helps to move dies all over the cutting plates, not just plunk them in the middle. These dies make beautiful wildflower die cuts for cards or mixed media. I often cut them from inked, watercolored or painted backgrounds that I didn’t like enough to use as is for cards, but as die cuts can look stunning. Using just one or a bunch, or cutting some shorter - like I did to decorate a small box - all works. I use heavy watercolor paper and cardstock.

Just what I was looking for to make floral silhouettes for my cards. Cut beautifully and are a very nice size. They vary in height with the longest being close to 5 1/2 inches and the shortest being 4 inches. They were a nice addition to my dies at a decent price.

I had been looking for these dies for awhile and only found them here on Amazon. They make my junk journals really pop when putting on tags and envelopes for a vintage look.

The die cuts are easier to remove is you place a sheet of was paper between the cardstock and die cut and use a shim of 1-2 pieces of cardstock on top belore the top cutting plate of the sandwich, especially when cutting the intricate flowers. Can't wait to use them on my Fall cards!!

Sissix makes the best dies. They always cut cleanly and beautifully. This is a nice variety pack and I specifically want the larger size dies for my card designs. Big thumbs up on this set.

Die Wildblumen von Tim Holtz sind einfach der Hammer. bis 240g stanzen die wunderbar. Die Blumen sind schön groß und sehen einfach Klasse aus. Ich verwende meistens naturfarbenes Kraftpapier und bin glücklich. Gestern habe ich die Stanzen (aus verschiedenen Sets) mit vorher eingefärbtem (grün verwaschen) Aquarellpapier verwendet: das sah mal richtig gut aus, wie echte Zweige. Die machen ordentlich was her auf Karten aber auch auf Geschenken, unters Geschenkband geschoben, wirken die einfach toll. 300 g-Papier ist etwas zu dick. die ganz feinteiligen Stanzen (wie die Pusteblume) werden nicht komplett durchgestanzt, selbst wenn man sie 5x durchkurbelt. Hier muss man sich mit einem Messer behelfen und die Reste manuell rauslösen.
