Q: Did this smooth out the ride? I put on a 3” lift and my Taco seems to have the feeling of resistance and tight steering.

This only moves the front diff down a tiny bit. Function aside, if your CV angles were severe enough to impinge steering, you'd feel a pulsation in your steering wheel that would likely vary with the angle that you were trying to steer -- After a 3" lift, you'll wanna get a full alignment, and at that height on a Tacoma, your castor angles will likely be at or beyond the adjustment available in the existing lower control arm adjustments. Do get an alignment, if you've not already, and compare your after-lift alignment values to your pre-lift alignment values.
