This is the best safflower seed I have purchased! There is NO debris in the bag and no musty smell like some other bags have, and the cardinals, wrens, and house finches love it. However, the squirrels, common grackles, and blue jays do not, so it's working to keep those little critters away from the food for the smaller guys! I especially like that the Cornell Lab of Orinthology is partnered with Pennington to provide the best quality, and best value for the money, in bird seeds. I can also use a very small portion size to fill up the feeders, so this bag will last a long time. Highly recommend the brandA

I have several bird feeders on my property and I love watching the birds, but hate the weed growth that so many wild bird seeds cause. I'm thrifty, and didn't want to spend more for bird seed when squirrels are always getting into it, but this is one product where I'll spend more for the convenience. The bag has a good mix of peanuts and sunflower seeds and the birds flock my feeders for it! Also, NO WEEDS!

Bought this primarily for little brown birds who were coming to my balcony and trying to eat food meant for bigger birds (and thus just made a terrible mess!), and since I've started using this, I have all sorts of birds coming to my balcony! My favorite are the family of doves. I don't have a feeder - I just throw it down for ground feeding which everyone seems happy with.

Smaller chips that were delivered seemed like a good idea at first. They do, however, produce copious amounts of dust. My feeders are tubes with feed ports at the base. This area filled with dust that on damp days bonded into a crust, completely blocking the seed ports. Price jumped nearly 5% in 10 days. Back to the cheaper brand that sells whole kernels.

Our many (wild) finches LOVE this stuff. Summer through winter and everything in between, they can't get enough.
