Teach your kids science
This booklet has empowered my 4th grader to love more about science. Good to buy

Great little resource
My kids are homeschooled and needed something more hands on than a textbook. Each lesson has the information they need. Lessons are not long, wordy, or overwhelming. My kids like that it is more focused and to the point.

Easy to use.
Easy to use. I needed to streamline lessons in science. This is working.

Four Stars
Great product. Each journal entry comes with a lesson for both sides of the journal.

Too Arts & Crafty
The subject coverage was superb. But the making of the "interactive" notebooks was just too arts and crafty. I really can't picture eight graders cutting and pasting. The basic concept of engaging the left and right side of the brain is good but there are simpler ways to organize information that reap the same benefits.

Good 6th Grade Resource
Looking forward in using this fall with my students.

Great Hands-On Approach!
The Interactive Notebook: Physical Science, Grades 5 - 8 book helps one retain and make sense of scientific concepts taught on matter, forces and motion, and energy. This book is meant to be used so that the student creates their very own ISN ( interactive notebook) that can be used as a resource that they can look back on while going through the lessons completed in this unit study. It's a great compilation to look over before a big test too!The book is really easy to use. There is a cutting and pasting aspect ( that the students will do themselves) so if using for multiple students, you'll need to have a copier on hand. The pages are perforated and easy to remove. The color scheme is black, white, and gray so it doesn't eat up ink in a copier/printer.There are 29 lessons. The lessons are short ( the front and back of a page) and simple to understand and follow. Each lesson has a demonstrate what you have learned section. The lesson also tells students what to cut, paste, to include in their notebook from the lesson. My kids like the hands-on aspect from the cutting and pasting to the trying out what they learned aspect of the book. This could stand alone or be used as a supplement for school. Since it's not too long, you would need something else to finish the school year like the other science books ( life science, earth, and space) in this line. I plan on getting the others and continuing 2-3 lessons a week and that will cover the whole school year for us.I really like this book. It's helped me put science lessons together in a way that's appealing to my kids. I like the notebook aspect as we have a nice record of what was learned. It's great this can be used over multiple grade levels as well. I highly recommend it!

A Welcoming Introduction to Physical Sciences
This is another book that my grand daughter loves and picks up often even through it is summer time. It contains topics that she has addressed before but seems to be grade appropriate
