Grohe 27892000 Euphoria Cube+ 24 In. Shower Bar, Starlight Chrome

This is a replacement bar for my shower. It is not the same brand, however, it fits and works perfectly.

I have used Grohe in the past but this is complete junk at this price point. The fit and finish are nothing like Grohe used to be. Most parts are plastic (shower wand, shower wand holder, attachments etc.). The shower wand is not square to the shower bar and looks cheap and not well made. The shower bar is aluminum, but the chrome finish is cheap and wavy. The whole unit flexes with the slightest amount of pressure (putting wand into holder). Do yourself a favor, do not spec this line your customers will be disappointed. This is nothing like the original Grohe built like a tank construction. The price point is way out of line for the quality of the build. It is comparable to the 25 dollar shower head in my guest bath. I was thinking of upgrading other fixtures, but Grohe is inferior to even a cheap showerhead if you can believe it. Sorry Grohe, this will be the last unit from your company I will install or use.

Love the style. Well engineered. But disappointed in the usage of plated plastic. The bar is thin gauge brass and the sliding wand holder is plastic. The wall-to-bar supports are also plated plastic. I question the long term durability of this shower bar. I am keeping it because of the style and my need for a 36" bar. If it was made of brass it would be a 5-star.

What has happened to Grohe? The slide bar is chromed plastic with metal substrate. The entire wand holder is chromed thin plastic. Returning.
