Disappointed all the way around
I give this product a 5, ONLY for the design of it, the real disappointment is the number of reviewsThis OMT product made me very disappointed. Did not expect these type of issues from OMT. The 1st set I had to turn back in for defects. However, this 2nd set is actually worse. The first issue are the diameters of the collets themselves, most were undersized .8mm to 2.2mm. This affects the working range where it was impossible to remove a bearing, one too big, the other to small [1st kit]. Another problem, second issue is the cutting of the collet face itself. They are not 120 deg apart or offset from one another. This causes the collet not to open evenly, more like egg shape [5 of 10]. Thirdly, is the Pin Bolt, they are not heat treated hard on the tips that spreads the collet. Another issues of egg shaping. As per pic, these Pin Bolts where only use once to test the collet spreading and return to their retracted position [all were used to open the collet to 60% of max or approx half way. One could only imaged what these tips would look like after a dozen or less usages. All I can say, this collet set will deteriorate rapidly. Maybe others have had good luck. However, from what little I use it, I would NOT recommend this collet puller set. Hope this helps you.

Decent puller for the $. Slide hammer could be bigger
This is a decent puller for this price. Know what you're buying and don't expect snap on level product here. It's not refined in an amazing case with a lifetime warranty, but it does get the job done, and has a good selection of sizes, especially on the smaller end.The slide hammer is a bit short as most people have said needs to be about 6-8" longer to be perfect, but it still can get the job done. The case is as cheap as you'd expect, it was a small explosion of pieces when i opened the case, but they easily went back to where they were supposed to be.So far I've used it to pull several pocket bearings and bushings, and a couple seals out of a BW-1354 transfer case, and it has done the job well. One bearing was particularly difficult, but it still got the job done with a little heat to the case around the bearing.Would recommend, as long as you're not expecting a $500 tool set for $60.

Used this to free the top cover on a Subaru CVT
I ordered the Orion Motor Tech Vise Grip Slide Hammer to use to free the top cover on my Subaru CVT, but I when I visited the Orion store-front I saw this and thought it might allow me to use the threaded bolt hole directly with the slide hammer instead of clamping onto a bolt with the Vise Grip and possibly damaging the bracket bolt as I was planning to do. It worked well with one of the double-threaded bolts and freed the stuck, top-cover in four "hammers." And I'm sure I will use the blind hole puller attachments in the future, so I consider this a sound investment. [Note that I used a 18" pry bar on the top cover bolt and against the engine and couldn't free the cover with a lot of force, which is why I searched the Internet for a short, slide hammer...and found a solution.]

Too flimsy to use
Bought to pull blind bearings from a NP241 transfer case. The mandrels are probably fine, but the puller frame is floppy at best. Too much play/slop between the crossbar and arms for the tool to stay in place to apply pressure to the mandrel. It twists and collapses on itself. Returning unable to use it do the job it's intended for.

Orion Motor Tech Blind Hole Collet Bearing Race and Seal Puller Extractor Kit
I bought this kit for pulling bearings out of an etrike. It worked great with no issues. Ended up taking to the bike shop to do the work and worked out a trade for some of the labor work cost.

Didn't work on a transaxle seal. Did work on the bearing.
Difficult to use- everything wants to slide off to the side or at an angle, making a straight pull difficult. The slide hammer is a nice addition, but it's too short. Despite considerable attempts, it simply didn't work to pull a seal. Once I learned to crush the seal with a screwdriver, pulling it out with pliers was fast and simple. This tool did work to pull the bearing after that.

Nicely made.
I used these for removing a pilot bearing at the rear of a crankshaft in a motor. I beat on this for a long time and was sure i was going to destroy it, but the bearing finally came out and the tool was fine.Very tough.
