Thrilled! This is all about Christ!
I am absolutely thrilled with LeCrae! Wow! I love to hear anyone representing Jesus. However, LeCrae does it with true heart! God bless this young man. I am now a huge fan. While LeCrae's style is very different from NuWine's style, I enjoy listening to him just as much. I didn't think I would enjoy anyone in the same way I enjoy NuWine. LeCrae, God bless you, brother. Keep inspiring souls to give their hearts to the LORD!I encourage this brother (LeCrae) because my reviews are about what I believe Christ sees--a person who puts it out there and remembers that LeCrae's efforts in music are about Christ, and bringing that witness to the unsaved world. I'm just happy that LeCrae's efforts just happen to be second to none!!Therefore, to rep for Christ and have so much true gospel talk in the CD is amazing. We live in a world where people have a tendency to water down the outreach effort. God is pleased when we stick to the truth, the WORD and love which are the only components missing in the hearts of the un-regenerated to help remake their lives. LeCrae seems to love to tell the truth and I think it's important to tell the truth in love. This effort seems like a work of true love--a message for a dying world!Amen, LeCrae. Amen!

Solid debut
I liked this CD, but I also started on Lecrae by listening to more recent stuff, stuff where he has improved as a rapper tremendously. This album is still fine, but the lyrics are a bit more shallow, the beats a bit more generic. The solid wordplay is there, and he actually showcases a faster flow, but thats not enough to give this CD a better rating.Take Me As I Am is an awesome track though, as is Aliens for its fast flow.Represent is a banger, and The Church is a catchy one as well. This CD is good. I would give it a 4 if I didn't know that Lecrae was so much better now. Thats so exciting! For now, lets settle for a 3.5, because for a debut, this is very good. Lecrae is among my favorite rappers ever.

As Good As After The Music Stops!
I'm really comparing this album to Lecrae's sophomore release, After The Music Stops, which is a stellar album. Being a Christian, I have a set of standards that I like to follow when puchasing music, and this album definitely meets those expectations! This album has a much more electronic sound than ATMS. The only song I really don't care for is Wait. The best songs are the ones that feature Tedashii. However there are two standouts that Creezie does by himself: Crossover and Who U Wit. This is Lecrae's rookie album, but you would never know it! Real Talk Interlude is basically his statement of faith. This album, in my mind, should be classified under electronic rap. ATMS is much more straight hip-hop. So if you like just straight hip-hop, pick up ATMS. If you like electronic rap, or you don't care, get Real Talk. It is a great album, honoring Christ and addressing issues of morality in todays world.

Speaks to the heart!
This isn't my type of music, being a 65 year old white woman and all, BUT these songs speak incarcerated women's 'heart language'! I played this album at the county jail chapel service and women were crying - especially for "Take Me As I Am". These women have to know that they don't need to clean up their lives before coming to Jesus. I also played, "Wait" when I spoke about sexual purity and that our bodies are the Holy Spirit's temple. This message was a hard sell to those inmates but the song said the message really well. I can always tell when a song touches their hearts because they ask for a copy of the words, which they don't do for other artists. I look forward to playing the other songs on the album to the inmates!

LOVE LOVE LOVE
I love Lecrae! Before giving my life to Christ, I listened to a lot of heavy metal music... now I listen to Christian heavy metal. But, I was never really a "rap" fan. I used to like Eminem, but can't listen to his language anymore. I found Lecrae and have loved his music since day one. I highly recommend this artist for anyone who loves rap but doesn't want to hear all the unnecessary cussing, derogatory terms toward women, or the words that make women look like sex objects for men to just use. Lecrae is a true servant of God!

LOVE LOVE LOVE
I am new to faith I mean I always believed but I wanted to live life my way. I was selfish and I did not want to give up my music or my way of life. Lecrae lets me listen to my favorite kind of music and it's safe for the kids to listen to and they LOVE it too! Lecrae raps about real life problems, situations, tempations. When you listen you can really relate to the music. It made me realize it's not to late and Jesus really DOES love me! I have purchased and downloaded all of his CD's and they are always playing in my car! I am in love with my new life, my new music and most of all Jesus!

This Album Rocks
This entire Album is great! The lyrics are rich and cause this listener to just nod her head just chuckle with an amen. :-) This entire album is one of the many workout albums that I now have great to hop onto the treadmill and run to. Devil under my feet woot! Recommend.
