BAILEYS Original Irish Cream Baking Chips, Semi Sweet Chocolate, 12 Ounce

These chips would be great in any cookie or cake calling for chocolate chips, but my wife followed the package recipe exactly, and the result was a uniquely flavored cookie with a nice crunch and a chewy center. They are pretty expensive but worth it for a special treat. Maybe when they are available in grocery stores, the price will moderate a bit.

These are so good! I haven't baked with them yet, but I'm looking forward to it. Definitely worth the extra money since I can't find them in stores at this time. I'm thinking of buying more, especially since they arrived quicker than anticipated.da*Edited to add, I purchased the bag from Clabber Girl for $8.49, not the higher price gouging I see for $29.99. There is always someone out there trying to take advantage of a situation.

The chips taste great, but DO NOT use the recipe on the back of the package. It is dreadful. The resultant cookies are dry and hard. Do yourself a favor and use the pretty much traditional Nestlé's chocolate chip cookie recipe, or any other chocolate chip cookie recipe you've made before and like. Luckily, one of my kids actually liked the sawdust pucks, so they did get eaten - eventually.

I'm sorry to say I was disappointed with these chips. I was so looking forward to chips that tasted like wonderful Bailey's. They just taste like chocolate chips to me. Maybe I was hoping for too much. But chocolate chips are chocolate chips and I love 'em all.

This coffee has a good, smooth flavor as described. The only complaint I have is that the two packages I bought came shipped in a envelope and was VERY smashed....I had wanted to give one as a gift but it was in such terrible condition I was unable to. It tasted good but I was concerned that it was damaged in delivery and might not be as fresh. The Irish Cream flavor however was very good/strong, but not bitter

I came across a recipe for Mudslide Cheesecake w/ Original Bailey’s Irish Cream Baking Chips in the recipe. If you Google it worded that way, you’ll find it. Anyway, I love mudslides & cheesecake so trying the recipe was a no brainer. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find the chips in any local stores. I was quite pleased to find them on Amazon. Yes, they’re a bit expensive. But, I bought them anyway. My cheesecake came out wonderful & everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. I usually pay $60 or more for a Cheesecake Factory cheesecake. Buying these at this price & all the other ingredients still saved me a bundle & we have a new holiday dessert favorite. The cheesecake was easy to make. These chips are unbelievably good, they are much better than I imagined and I have already bought them several times so each time I’m so excited for the low cost and outstanding flavor. Makes me want to just eat the whole bag! 👍 I give these hips a 10 out of 10! Grama WIOWOO

I was really looking forward to using these chocolate chips in my baking (and eating too!). Oh boy was I disappointed when I opened the first bag (and second bag as well). They had that nasty look of very old chocolate and had zero taste. I thought--okay so I won't be able to just eat them from the bag, I'll just use them in baking. They were just fractionally better--as that nasty light-colored coating at least melted away. The flavor did not get better though.Amazon--I would take this product off your shelves unless you are guaranteed freshness from the sellers. Either that or sell the bags at a fraction of what you sell the product for.
