It's a wired-remote, not wireless. Super easy to wire-in (externally under the main heater box), and comes with wire and a remote mounting bracket. FYI, you hold the temperature up button on the remote for like 10 seconds and then tap the down arrow to unlock 125, 130, and 140 degree water settings (otherwise limited to 85-120). The remote also has a power button for the unit... I don't think you can even turn the heater on without the remote.. ;) **Q: Can this heater make 160 degrees F ?** A: No, it cannot. The maximum temperature setting is @ 125 degrees.
