5/30/26 Amazon Basics 16-inch Quiet DC Motor Standing Floor Fan for Bedroom, 12 Speed with Remote, 3 Breeze Modes, Adjustable Height, Dual-Layered Blades, Timer, Energy Efficient (28W), White: Recommend Exactly as pictured and described. This fan is SILENT on the lower speeds; the higher the speed the whooshing sound does increase. Yet even on speed 12 it is quiet enough to watch TV or listen to music without an issue. It was easy to put together; the fan cover was a little more tricky. You only get 1 screw, which is what's required. Read the instructions. I prefer the beeps it makes with changing speeds or any other functions; it is not loud at all and shouldn't interfere with other sleepers. It has a lighted display that goes blank in a suitable time and is not an issue. The fan's height adjustments work well. The oscillation is only about 90%. And the remote works well; it controls the speed (who needs 12 speeds?), on and off, oscillation on and off, and the breeze (whatever that is). It very stable and seems sturdy. I will edit this review if any problems arise. My fingers are crossed (I read the low reviews and it was a concern.) I do consider the price high, but heck it has 12 speeds and it worked right out of the box. ;-) I am very pleased with this purchase.

It’s been 5 years and 7 months since I posted this review. I can’t believe it has been that long. Well, this product turns out to be made impressively well by its durability. Some keynotes from my original review that I will like to clarify. The remote for this fan it’s not radio frequency but infrared, that’s why it the remote control needs to be aimed directly at the LED display of the fan ., that’s where the IR reader is located. Every part is still original and in the same condition as 5 years ago. The fan is use for days on speed 24 without any issues. It’s rare to see something manufactured in China last this long. I’m Impressed Singfun Electric 先锋电器集团 (the manufacturer of these fans) did an amazing job. ******************************************************** Let Me start by saying that The fan is perfect for the amount it’s currently selling ($55.99) not a penny more. The overall quality is acceptable. I was very curious about this fan noting that the price was fairly good for DC technology. so I got to spend a few hours with it and there are a few things that any consumer who might be interested in it need to know. First of all, the fan is very simple to assemble. You don’t need instructions to put it together. It took me 6 minutes to have it ready and operating. The only tool you’ll need is a Philip screwdriver to unscrew and then re-screw again a security screw that keeps the lock on the guard ring securing the rear guard to it in its place. When I put it together and tested it, it had an annoying rattling but I took care of it. More on this later. Airflow delivery is fair, not as great as those good old fans from the 1980s. It’s acceptable. So don’t expect to get a lot of airflow from this fan. The fan produces a pleasant white noise when set at any speed above the default 18 level which gives the impression of blowing a lot of air. But is not. It’s an illusion. It’s all in the blades that are designed to give the impression of an abundance of air. The double blades is just a marketing gimmick. Having 7” blades in front of the main blades does not improve or increase airflow. As for the levels or speed, this fan is advertised as having 24 variable “speeds” which in reality is more like 11 actual speed/levels. Speeds 1 and 2 are the same thing no increasement or difference at all. Same thing with 3 and 4, which can be considered speed 2., At level 5, You see a third “speed”., level 7 and 8? yep, same thing again 2 levels one speed. It’s not until level 9 that You will notice a significant increase in airflow from the first 8 levels. 9 and 10; speed 4., 11 and 12; speed 5., 13 and 14; speed 6., 15 to 17; speed 7., The Default level 18 has a small increase over 17, 18-19 which would be speed 8., 20 to 22 is speed 9., level 23 another small increase and then level 24 has the maximum airflow. The speed increases are very minimal at the low levels and then it jumps where You can hear (and feel) the difference. The three wind modes it’s more like two modes. The Normal model is basically that, operating at any normal speed., The Eco mode, variates the speeds between levels and recycles it again and The Baby (sleep) mode, slowly increases then slowly decrease to level 3 and stays at level 1 after one hour and remains at level 1 until You change it or turn it off. This could be considered a design flaw but I did notice that it lacks response time between different speeds and modes, the fan changes visually but not operationally, meaning if I change it from say level 1 to 18, it will still operate at level 1 for a few seconds even though The displays shows it’s at speed 18 or whatever speed. But it’s to be expected, this is NOT a high end product. My unit had this vibrating rattle noise whenever it slowed down caused by the guard ring lock as it’s very loose when engage. So I took it off and wrap some clear tape and insert it back and no more ratter when it’s on Eco or “Baby” mode. I’ve thing to think if You have that problem. One thing that really bothers Me is the fact that the fan WILL NOT save previous settings when it’s turn off. If you have a preference speed and oscillation choice set, You will have to set it all again each time You turn it back on. I wish there was a way to hack it so it would save previous settings whenever is turn off and back on. The remote control is a bit tricky. You have to press the buttons hard and be aiming directly into the display screen on the fan stand to make it work. It requires 2 AAA batteries, which are not included. The Materials are AS (Acrylonitrile Styrene) plastic for both blades which are very lightweight, thin and extremely fragile., the body is lightweight ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) plastic for everything else except the guards, those are thin lightweight aluminum. Durability is one thing that no one knows. But it has electronic components in it and when those fails, it’s either repair it or toss it. So who knows how long will it last. The thing I wish I could do is, hack it to keep it from forgetting the previous settings when it’s turn Off and then back On.

I liked this fan just fine, but it didn't even last a year. It died at the 10 month mark. I kept it cleaned off of dust, it wasn't knocked over, etc., I just noticed the blades not turning one day and realized it was not functioning. It powers on, etc., but the blades won't turn. The fan said it was eligible for replacement up to 1 year past purchase date, but when I followed the prompts to file for a replacement, it wouldn't allow me to do so. I followed the troubleshooting steps, nothing. I clicked the "customer support" link provided by Amazon, and it took me to a Chinese website for pet products, not anything to do with the fan. I know this is a cheap fan, but I would have expected it to last longer than 10 months. I also expect "Amazon Brand" to be backed by... Amazon. Their actual customer support chat/line is difficult to get to. They definitely don't make it easy. It is clear from this experience that Amazon clearly puts their name on random items as "Amazon Brand" but that does NOT mean quality. Cheap? Yes. But even a cheap box fan would last me longer than 10 months. Not to mention that I went through all their red tape to try to ask them to make it right, and ended up in the same boat with no replacement fan, no refund, nothing. Just a broken fan, headed to the landfill.

My son accidentally broke my pedestal fan, so I needed a new one. Based on the good reviews this one had, I decided to purchase it, and I'm glad I did. I just received and assembled the fan. It was very easy to assemble, however, the assembly instruction booklet has an error I need to point out. On assembly step 5, it indicates you need to connect front guard (part A) with rear guard (part D). Part D is actually the small fan blade. Part B is the rear guard. See images from instruction booklet. There is a decent amount of weight to it. It's not flimsy at all. I like the fan size and the fact that the blades are clear. I've never seen clear fan blades. The small fan blades are white. I purchased the 12 speed setting one, but I feel I didn't really need so many speeds because setting #1 is sufficient right now. From a distance of about 10', my vertical blinds are swaying from the breeze and the fan isn't facing them directly. I'm sure when it gets hot, I'll use the higher settings, but for now, setting #1 gets the air moving and provides a gentle breeze. I tested it on setting #12 and it's very strong! It has quite a bit of power! This fan is very quiet in the lower settings, but gets louder at the higher ones. The remote is easy to operate. It requires two triple A batteries which are not included. I love the fact that it has a timer function. Sometimes I don't want the air on me all night. I don't think I'll regret this purchase. EDIT: I had to take off one star because each time I turn the fan on or off, it makes a bit of a clunk sound. I feel like it's going to fall apart. It only makes the sound the moment I push the power button on or off. Once it's on, it doesn't continue making the sound until I turn it off. I just took a video so you can hear it. Also, for those who say they don't like the beep when turning it on or changing the settings, you can turn the beep off. On the remote, you press and hold the oscillating button for around 3 seconds. Edit #2: I disassembled and reassembled the fan. It seems to have worked - no more clunking sound - so I'm upping it back to 5 stars.

I read the reviews and was wondering how people could go so crazy for a fan. I mean it's a FAN, right? Well, it is all it's cracked up to be. I highly recommend the DC, 12 speed version if you can get it. It's very much worth the extra cost. I bought this fan because of the low speeds it can do. My other AC fan is just too loud and blows too much air on its low speed. It gets uncomfortable. I wanted something that could just barely move some air around at night while I sleep. I don't really even hear this fan until it reaches speed 5. I sleep with it on speed 2 or 3 usually. I can see myself using this on speed 1 in the winter to help circulate air. I feel like I'm sleeping better because of the fresh air circulating around me. Think of the low speeds on this fan kind of like a ceiling fan on low speed. It just barely moves the air. Not enough to make you cold. Neither the motor nor the fan blades make noise at these low levels. I thought the double fan blade design would be a gimmick, but it really does help to relieve those dead spots you get in the vortex a normal fan will produce. It works well at high speed also. It moves as much air as any other fan of the same size. I also like the memory function so it remembers the settings you used last time. The pedestal shaft has some sort of spring or friction where it goes into the stand, so you don't have to tighten the set screw down all that much to keep it in place. There is some natural resistance to assist it in staying in place.

My husband and I are two different people at night. He hates the cold and I live for the cold. This fan has made both of our lives easier. I get the cold and air circulation, he gets to be comfy without the fan blasting on him. The different speeds are wonderful, the highest setting is to much for me sometimes. It's great in the summer though when its very warm. The tilt is great as well as sometimes I dont want the fan directly on me and this allows to still have airflow without it right on me. Like most fans it is noisy but more like white noise style. I don't like slient at night so having a fan/white noise is great so I don't have to run an app. The different modes are amazing.

I received the 16-inch DC motor standing floor fan, for bedroom/office use. This is the big upgrade. It's 28W on high. This one on speed 1-6 is whisper quiet, can sleep with it 3ft from bed. Even speed 12 is more "whoosh" than motor hum. DC motor also means it sips power. Its 12 speeds sounds like overkill, but it works. Speeds 1-3 = gentle for sleeping, 4-8 = desk/bedroom cooling, 9-12 = real airflow for hot days. Breeze modes simulate natural wind instead of constant blast. Normal, Natural, Sleep modes are actually different, not gimmicks. Dual-layer design moves more air without spinning faster/louder. At 8ft height it cools my whole bedroom. Height adjusts from 39" to 53" so it works on floor or next to couch. Oscillation is wide 70°. Remote has power, speed, mode, timer, oscillation. Timer goes up to 12 hours, perfect for falling asleep. No "beep" when you press buttons which is rare and nice for bedrooms. Makes sense. It stripped out fancy app/WiFi stuff and focused on what matters: quiet motor, good airflow, reliable build. 1. Assembly = 10 min, snap base + screw pole. 2. White plastic only, no color options. 3. Remote is IR so needs line of sight, not Bluetooth. 4. At max speed 12 it’s still quieter than cheap fans, but "quiet" = speeds 1-8. Overall, if you want a bedroom fan that won’t roar all night and won’t spike your bill, this DC fan delivers. 12 speeds gives you real control, and the 28W motor is the real MVP for Florida heat.

We’ve had this for about half an hour now, and we’ve already decided it’s getting thrown back in Amazon’s face. I don’t appreciate having my time wasted like this. I wish I’d seen bill m’s fairly comprehensive review of this fan’s inflated specs. Unfortunately, this appears to be a design/implementation issue rather than a fault with his.or my fan - this 24-speed fan really *is* as 12-speed in real life. That’s not as advertised, and it’s so blatant that it’s a lie - you can just listen to the pitch of the fan blade noise to know that speeds 1 and 2 are as identical as makes no difference, same goes for 3 and 4, 5 and 6, etc. Just because the number on the display changed, that doesn’t mean that’s a new speed. It’s such a bald-faced, outright lie. If this were its only fault, I’d consider keeping it. After all, there’s enough of a range in 12 speeds to be useful. However, because there are 12 dummy speed settings, each actual change needs two clicks of the control wheel or two taps of the remote button rather than one. That’s going to get annoying *real* fast. Worse, the beep that accompanies each speed change (even the ones that don’t do anything) is ridiculous. It’s not even a small, unobtrusive beep, either - it’s seriously loud, and this thing will end marriages if you put it in a bedroom and dare to adjust it at night. Speaking of the beep, the control wheel is hilariously bad. The fan beeps on each Ned speed setting, so turning the wheel from one end of the speed range to the other results in an endless beeeeeeeeeeeeeeep so long as the wheel is turned. I have no clue who thought this was a good idea, but if the individual beeps are likely to end marriages, then this is going to get someone killed in a fit of rage. And it gets better. Instead of being limited at the bottom end of the speed range, the control wraps around. If the speed is currently at the fastest setting, then attempting to increase it either with the dial or the remote results in it dropping to the lowest speed before increasing. You could take the view that this is a quick way to go from min to max speed or vice verse, but it has a very important and annoying result that you can’t turn the fan up to full blast by cranking on the dial until it stops - you have to take note of the setting and stop at the right time. Ugh. And to add insult to injury for the speed settings, the fan forgets what it was last set to when turned off. Say you have it turned down and turn it off, then decide a bit later to turn it back on. VROOOOM! Straight to setting 18. It’s truly impressive how many faults they’ve managed to pack in to a single feature. It’s like they deliberately worked at making it this bad, as I don’t see how it’s possible to accomplish this by accident. Finally, build quality is nearly non-existent. A height-adjustable stand sounds like a good thing, but this is so flimsy that if I were to keep it, I’d leave at its bottom setting; the thing weeble-wobbles around like crazy at any higher setting. Edit: perhaps 8 spoke too soon by saying “finally” - this thing obviously knew it wasn’t long for this world and decided to finish with a flourish. I went to check the claimed power draw with my trusty kill a watt, and it’s dead. When the power button is pushed, the fan blades jerk by about an eighth of an inch at the tips, then the display turns off again. It knows it’s headed back to the mothership, and it’s done cooperating. When it worked, it was reasonably quiet, though it was a little weaker than I’d like at full chat. However, it lasted for all of about an hour before it died. I suppose I might have known - I was looking for a replacement for our old infinitely-adjustable vornado that died after about 12 years of daily use, but I’ve been scared off vornado about a year ago after a really bad experience with one of their then-new DC fully adjustable fans. They’re still solid, but the motor noise was unacceptable for what is a premium-proiced product. I suppose this serves as a lesson in not knee-jerking too far in the opposite direction. Utter garbage.

The best fan by far for this price. The quietest. The simplest. The most efficient i have have had yet. I have had eighteen fans over the years, most of them were with noisy and duff blades. Not this one! The best! Packed with Common Sense, miinimal packaging waste, and simply logical Had it working within ten minutes of delivery. And it delivers a good wallop of air when needed, with infinite adjustments for speed, plus rotation if you want, over 90 or so degrees As good as any 200+ dollar product and almost SILENT.

Lo recomiendo ampliamente, está muy bonito, los materiales son de muy buena calidad, el ensamblado súper fácil, la base me encantó por qué es más pequeña que otros ventiladores de pedestal pero trae una placa que le añade de peso y le da estabilidad, es silencioso y bastante potente, las aspas son de plástico, una es transparente y otra color blanco y las protecciones de metal, lo volvería a comprar sin dudar

Easy enough to assemble. Real perk of this fan I don't see mentioned enough is it can be set to VERY slow and still produce meaningful breeze. The last two speed settings create almost no noise at all and still move the air around a room nicely. 10/10 best fan I've owned.

El ventilador es muy sencillo de armar, para la parte de las aspas si es un poco confusa como lo dijo un comentario la parte protuberante lisa va hacia afuera para las dos aspas. Personalmente lo uso en modo "Eco" ya que esta función prende momentáneamente el ventilador durante periodos, lo que hace que el flujo no deje de cesar, y ahorra energia. Es bastante silencioso a nivel 1, yo lo uso durante reuniones del trabajo y enserio es muy silencioso, cuando la noche es muy calurosa también lo dejo a nivel 1 o 2 y el ruido es poco o nulo. Contras: Maldito pitido molesto al subir velocidades o cambiar las cosas, ya con la pantalla es suficiente, tal vez un día de estos entre para desconectar esa bocina. Sin duda lo recomiendo, bastante calidad precio

This fan was really good when we got it. However, after 9 months, it stopped working. The fan is on, but the blades stopped spinning. Contacted costumer service and offered no help. Very bad item for an expensive fan!
