This helped me sort through the different massage modalities out there and determine which forms of massage will meet my current needs. For example, I knew nothing about lymph system massage - nor about my lymph glands, for that matter, but this book has motivated me to learn about ways I can help my lymph glands function more efficiently to rid my body of toxins. I've always valued whole-body massage for general relaxation, but I now realize I could benefit from deep tissue massage to resolve some longstanding issues.
