I am really surprised and impressed by this laser measure. I am a DIY guy and recently got a basic Bosch laser measure. Then I saw this one and at half the price decided to get it because of the features. I think I'll return the Bosch! Accuracy is pretty much the same, ergonomics is very similar, both are well build. But features - this thing wins on features and most of them are really useful features. I like the most: the level indicator to make sure you are measuring flat, single measure mode (click)/continuous mode, addition/subtraction mode, change of reference point (front vs back of device), back-lit screen, auto-off, keep last 3 measures on screen, memory. There are even some more that I'll probably not use soon, but glad I have the option if I need them.I don't see a point of spending several more times on brand name laser measure, when this seems a very well built and feature rich one. Definitely happy with it!

I do finish carpentry work and use this daily, its often easier and more accurate than a tape measure in use. I would never have tackled the project without this tool. The buttons on this unit are easy to understand and there aren't any complicated menus. Everything is only a couple of button presses away....and it works outside. Good quality, bright backlight. Incredibly accurate and easy to use.

I bought this Laser measure so i had a quick and handy way to grab a measurement in lieu of grabbing a traditional tape measure. The unit came well packaged with straightforward and easy to read instructions. Note that before I bought it I had saw a few reviews regarding only being able to measure in M (meters) or accuracy being off. First let me say this will measure in BOTH metric and Imperial and as far as accuracy please keep in mind the unit defaults to including the unit length in the measurement (4.4 in). If you do not want the unit itself included in the measurement (you want to measure from the front of the unit forward) you need to make that choice after startup.While I have not made use of the volume, Pythagorean, Area, and other features I can say that base measurements are dead on compared to a Stanley FatMax tape. For the price this is one handy laser measure!

I was skeptical that this inexpensive tool would be so accurate and easy to use, But this little laser distance measure Is awesome. I bought a house and need to measure rooms for estimating how much paint and trim I needed, and I started mentoring with a measuring tape, but when I got this tool the next day it made everything go 10 times faster. I went back and re-measured all of the areas I measured with a measuring tape and this tool was spot on.

Purchased unit and found that it measures in meters contrary what's advertised unless I missed something. Works great otherwise but I'm trying to eliminate steps not add them.

it’s small enough to easily fit in your pocket and weighs less than a 25 ft. tape measure. It has a built-in battery meter and I have noticed some drop in battery life after only a short time of using it. I also notice a couple of times that it took a little while before it started showing the distance measurement.

Calibration function does not work. When asked they do not provide clear explanation how to use it. Probably it is not even there.

I've been wanting to get an exact measurement on our house foot print.There's limitations when measuring and there's not something at the end to reflect the laser. If you have something else to use as a difference, you can use the math. If you don't, you have to improvise by placing something at the same plane as the distance you want to measure. i put a box next to the end of the wall. They include a reflective card you can use as a target.I love that it has geometry functions like the pythagorean theorem formula built in. I was able to get area on the fly.
