It does the job at a great price
This little unit is great, provides all the functionailty you want, at half the price of others. Only minor complaint is the layout of the cables coming in/out is a little awkward, but not a big deal.

When it works it works
The media could not be loaded. So I've had this for a few months now and when it was working it was almost perfect. I had 2 4K displays running at 60Hz without too much of a problem. The thing I did notice was that sometimes, on one of my monitors there'd be a white line at the top of the screen which moved around at times (see the picture and video). After the annoyance of this wore away I didn't really notice it that much and it did everything else I needed it to for a reasonable price. Now however both HDMI ports have stopped working completely - the rest of the dock works fine but no output from any laptop I try with any cable/monitor. So I'm having to send it back for a refund. Shame as it was almost perfect.Like some of the others say it does get hot at times but I'm not sure if that has anything to do with things failing inside it...

A confusing product - what is it for?
This seemed a good value option to help a laptop with limited ports to have full connectivity. It has everything I need, from Ethernet to HDMI and USB 3.0.Unfortunately, upon connection to a brand new laptop with two USB-C ports, I received a Windows 11 error regarding a power surge on the USB port and to disconnection immediately and reset the port. Thankfully, it seems to work following this error but reading up on the subject suggests that the device may need more power than a typical USB-C port can provide on a Windows machine.

Quick and easy setup
Worked perfectly without any software. Exactly what I was looking for. Able to extend to 2 additional screens

Does what I needed
M1 MacBooks require DisplayPort software to use this dock, PC’s work straight off. Also doesn’t like HDMI / Display Port adaptors so only use HDMI-HDMI or DP-DP leads to connect to extra monitors. Also 60w output to Dell PC produces a low power warning.

Unfortunately is not compatible with HP 250 G8 laptop
I wanted to use it to drive 2 monitors on HDMI but my laptop would not recognise the device, though it did work for all the other functions.

A Separate Charger may be needed
This universal docking station works well in every respect execpt for two issues. The first is that the charger with the Targus unit is not powerful enough to charge my laptop and therefore, I need to use my laptop charger unit and the charger unit for the docking station. The second issues is that the USB c cable included connects the data between the laptop and the docking station, and the power if a separate charger to the laptop is not used. When using the USB c cable, when backing up to a NAS drive, the docking station crashes as the USB c cable cannot handle the data transfer and power the laptop at the same tim. So, if you use this unit with a laptop, you will likely need to purchase a separate charger unit for the laptop and a USB c to USB B cable to enable the docking station to work properly

Dual monitor doesn't work on Mac - only mirrored
If you're planning to use this on a Mac then you'll only be able to use the dual monitors in mirrored mode.
