Very informative
Language is simple for a layman to follow and enjoy. Few technical terms are used which are amply explained for the benefit of the readers. Came to know and understand numerous aspects about the brain which are missing from most other books in this genre.

Fascinating & Thought Provoking
Incognito: The Secret Lives of the Brain is a book by neuroscientist David Eagleman that explores the hidden workings of the human brain. The book delves into the mysteries of the brain, such as how it processes information, how it creates consciousness, and how it shapes our perceptions of the world around us.One of the key themes of Incognito is the idea that much of what goes on in the brain happens outside of our conscious awareness. Eagleman argues that the brain is constantly processing information and making decisions without our conscious input, and that many of our thoughts and actions are influenced by subconscious processes that we are not aware of.Throughout the book, Eagleman discusses a wide range of topics related to the brain and its functions, including perception, memory, decision-making, and emotion. He also explores the ways in which the brain can be deceived, and how this deception can affect our behaviour and decision-making processes.Overall, "Incognito" is a fascinating and thought-provoking read that offers insights into the inner workings of the human brain. Whether you are a scientist, a student, or just someone who is curious about the world, you will find something to enjoy in this book.

Good but VS Ramachandran's books are better.
Contains more of facts and boners about the brain and mental malfunctions without going into much details about the cause of those malfunctions. Though, I would say I definitely enjoyed reading this after The Brain by the same author. If you want to get into the details about behind the scenes of the facts and malfunctions included in this book, I would recommend reading The Phantom brain and The Telltale brain by VS Ramachandran

It's a must read
Very lucidly describes what we understand as well as do not understand about brain. The last chapters that deal with the complexities of our thoughts is almost on the border between science and spirituality. It was a delight to read this book from first word to the last.

best book about most complex matter in universe
Brought this novel in September 2018.The book is one of the best books I ever read about the brain. Starts with the chapter well captioned. The brain is the most complex thing in the universe. The author explains in a simple way what the brain 🧠 does so it is easy to follow for everyone.- it is amazing that it is running 24*7 in darkness to keep us alive.-But I must say only people who love science will appreciate it as the book is very deep in meaning. Thanks and all the best to the authorMayank Mishra (Author Diary of a PhD student)

A great and easy read
A quick and short summary of our current understanding of how our brains work. A good book for someone who has little or no knowledge of what it means to be human! And at the same time good enough for even the knowledgeable layman. Do give it aread!
