Bought this from Amazon after visiting Curry's and seeing that just the machine was £199 with no added extras. The package from Amazon was far superior and incredible value for money - paid £152 ish for the machine and two packs of cleaning solution that was over £50 worth in Curry's. The machine itself is easy to put together, and use. Once you get the hang of washing and rinsing its a breeze and the carpets came up quite well tbh. I havent cleaned my carpets for years and it has given them the lift they needed. Brought the pile up too. It didnt soak them as i thought it would and by the next morning they were totally dry (i started cleaning at 10pm!). My only issue is that when you have finished the clean when you switch off the machine for some reason it seems to drip or leak a bit of dirty water on your clean carpet, this is really annoying! So i keep it going and drag it onto a hard floor to mop up after. Not sure why it does it but hey. It can be quite heavy when the tanks are full but easy to empty and straight forward, but grateful for the large tank rather than a machine with a small one. On my beige carpets around the skirting there is dark marks on the carpets, i can only think that this is from the dust blowing up under the floorboard edges, the cleaner has not removed this - its a shame as thats what i really bought it to tackle. I will try the hand held tools to see if it will clean it better that way. Overall, I am happy with the machine for what it has done to the main carpets and think I might reclean again next month or something. I also feel better for knowing the carpets have been refreshed and are not so filthy - the dirt that it pulls off will make you feel dirty.

I ordered this machine after looking at a few different brands, reading the reviews and researching online for tried user tests aswell. I already own a Bissel Little Green which has been a life saver. I now have a dog as well as a cat, and over the years my 90% wool blend landing carpet has taken a beating. I had the carpets professionally steam cleaned in 2022 at a cost, only €30 less than this machine. The before picture shows how my carpets looked just 2 months after this 'professional steam clean'. Needless to say, I wasn't impressed. Lots of detergent residue left in the carpets, which attracted dirt (I have a gorgeous spaniel diva to thank for that!), and left the circular marks showing where the residue is. So today I finally got my self motivated to clean the carpets. I started with a rinse cycle as I had strayed the areas with a stain remover and urine neutraliser. I then put the machine to deep clean, with the Vax shampoo solution. I rinse this until the water was no longer soapy. The carpets are quite wet, but I don't mind that. All the windows are open this time of the year anyway. I'll post an update as the carpets dry. Very easy machine to use. It is a bit heavy when full of clean water, but it's manageable. Definite move the machine slowly over the carpets, slower than vacuuming, as the brushes have longer to agitate the stain/mark and deep cleaned. My machine picked up hair, grit, dirt....so much hair. It's a bit disgusting when you realise how much dirt is in the carpets. But very satisfied with the ease of use, effectiveness, quality, and price point. I would definitely recommend this machine. Especially to pet owners. Don't hesitate; just buy it!

I'm not going to repeat what other reviewers have said, that would be tedious. I'm just going to add my own 2 cents: Firstly, you have to go slow going forwards. Dead slow, while spraying the solution in bursts. I found that wiggling the whole cleaner side to side while doing this gave the best results. This is because my 7 year old carpet which has never been washed wasn't only looking dark in patches, the pile was also flattened out. I cleaned it by the book when I first got it, but was less than satisfied. It was still a bit dirty and the pile in the carpet was more noticeably worn in places. Wiggling it side to side with a second go the next day brought it back to life. I also made the water a bit hotter (have to be careful it doesn't approach boiling or it will damage it). And going over everywhere again with it on the rinse cycle may have helped. Not only has the colour returned after this, but the pile is much better. It might be the hard side brushes dragging over it sideways that helped get the solution into the pile, I will certainly use this technique from now on. as my carpet is like new. On the downside, the solution is expensive as it doesn't last long. It's also not good at removing stains at all, and seems to struggle on long pile carpets such as my bedroom. It didn't want to pick up the solution and dry it out in places and I had to push the whole thing into the carpet while dragging it across it. Also, the spinscrub brush works well on things like a fabric sofa, but takes some work. Probably not as much as manual brushing though. In all, it's a pleasure to use being that everything is perfectly made for disassembly and cleaning real quick & easy.
