I didn't need zoom control, but I thought that if I did in the future then having the max motor would be better than buying the lite. There is a Zhiyun video (has english subtitles) which describes how to reflash a motor to change it from max to lite or lite to max. It's really very easy. The Zhiyun Crane 3 Lab has a built-in utility to flash motors (I have firmware version 1.85 in my crane 3). You can plug in either a lite or a max, then in the gimbal menu you can pick what you want your motor to behave like. In my case, I plugged in the max, but told the Gimbal to make it a lite - then it reflashes the motor firmware. Then instead of the rocker switch controlling the motor, the focus wheel becomes the control. The motor is quiet and responsive. Using a Sigma 16mm f/1.4 DC DN lens, it easily allows very fine focus control. Plus I got a seamless focus gear for the lens from FollowFocusGears.com - that is also awesome. Love this unit - highly recommended.

Adds suggested the Zyhun weebil S worked with the D3200 nikon. Complete lie. however, should have expected it from China. My bad, buy USA!

I bought Zhiyun Weebill lab earlier and was very satisfied with the stabilization. But I'd like more control over zooming without touching the camera. So this "Max" got under my scope. Pros: 1. Smooth, better than my hands 2. Quiet, no noise added to the video 3. It helps balancing the camera a bit, since it adds weight to the left side of the camera. Most cameras are heavier on the right side. 4. Easy to install, though one needs to practice once or twice. Not Cons, but tips: 1. The fitting of control wheel (the toothed belt) is easy, but the lock has to be positioned well to avoid limiting the zoom range. Also, you may want trim the belt a little bit. Good Max comes with 2 control belts. 2. Using the control knob on Weebill can still induce some vibration. So I'd use the mobile app to control zoom or focus.

This motor will not work with your big lens (i.e. Vazen 40mm anamorphic). Barely have enough torque at high setting to turn the lens and motor does not cover the entire focus throw of bigger lens. Works well with my smaller lens like the Sirui 1.33X anamorphic though. Also, if you have a Crane 3S, this motor will ONLY work using the rocker and not the focus wheel. I actually prefer the rocker over the focus wheel because it is easier to reach/use while hold the Crane 3S.

For the money I spent this should work 100% of the time. It's a 50/50 if the motor will let you go the full way aroud, usually does once or twice then it'll just stop half way. Not happy at all with this or the gimbal the software is trash...

I spend plenty of time and try to figure out how to use it ( I even researched video from YouTube) but still not work well for my Canon80D

There is a slight lag ever on high speed when you first turn the wheel, & constantly unaligns with my gear wheel which my Nucleus Nano never does.

Buen producto, adecuado para el weebill s, bastante silencioso aunque si hace ligero ruido, muy funcional.

Aunque funciona sin problemas con el weebill lab, toma un buen de tiempo en instalarlo correctamente en el gimbal, todo debe de estar super apretado para que no se separe el motor del lente cuando lo usas, no enconte alguna manera de calibrar los topes de un lado al otro por que si no tienes bien medida el area de desplazamiento del motor sigue avnazando y se corren los dientes que sujetan el lente. si le dan un poco mas deversatilidad tu gimbal, y puedes hacer cosas mas creativas, pero toma algo dominar el uso de esto, no es realmente tan facil ni practico. y uncamente lo puedes usar con estos gimbals especifiocos y de esta marca en particular, por lo que no puedes usarlo en otro tipo de setup.
