Purchase of Secure pull alarm to prevent falls.
As an RN, and having used safety devices in the clinical setting of Long Term Care, I chose the Secure Personal Pull Cord alarm for my mother, whom I provide 24/7 care in the home. She now has a history of falls, and this alarm, along with a audio monitor, enables us to sleep at night knowing we will be alerted of any unsafe movement, and provide assist as needed. We all sleep a little better at night. Shopped at Amazon for convenience and price, and would certainly recommend it to in-home caregivers.

A MUST FOR CONFUSED PERSONS
Loud alarm when person tries to get up alone, alerting caregiver that they need to help.

Not the best but not the worst either
You have to place the stem in just right to stop it from making noise. The sound is very noticeable and I like the fact that it comes with velcro to attach it to different chairs.

Alarm works well
The alarm attaches to the patient and is NOT easily pulled off from the patient. Past alarms would fall of the patient with the slightest movement. This one works so much better

Cheaply made cr@p!
Well, the fact that it's cheaply made cr@p goes without saying, given price and origin, but I'm sure it would've served its purpose just fine if one could even get the battery compartment door off without damaging the screws! Yes, this one "died" before we could even test it- the little screws on the battery compartment door were so over-tightened at the factory that it was nearly impossible to loosen them- they just stripped before the screws loosened. They even provided a little phillips screwdriver in the box to accomplish this, but was only able to get one off (after damaging it), and screw #2 just stripped altogether to the point the screwdriver had nothing left to grab. Mind you, we are not completely helpless people, and are well acquainted with operating a miniature screwdriver. We even know which direction to turn the screws to tighten and loosen them!! Just dismayed by the shoddiness, and have to try again with a new one.

Metal Clips broke / fell apart after 1 month
The pin is super small to put back in. & the metal end clips broke so I can’t even use it anymore for my grandfather. It works, just fell apart to fast
