Trust Me, I'm a (Junior) Doctor Review: Great Insight - This is a great insight into the first scary year of a Junior Doctor's working life, being a R.N. in a busy surgical ward it's easy to forget that alot of Junior Doctor's are straight out of Med School and how scared and overwhelmed they feel.......all R.N.s should read this book Review: Brought back memories - A good book to read at this time in the year when i was very busy. It was easy to pick up & put down due to the format of small daily updates. As an ex nurse (long, long time ago in the pinny & silly hat days) I found Max`s panic at times very amusing & it brought back many memories of keeping the junior doctors from making hideous mistakes & feeding them coffee & toast to keep them going. Junior doctors always had a hard time in my nursing days & it looks like little has changed.

I love this book and its author
I loved this book almost as soon as I started reading it. The narrator is funny and likeable, and so are his friends. His writing is wittier than that of similar books. The stories are the usual "I'm a new doctor and I have no idea what I'm doing and I haven't slept in a while" but he also addresses things like racism. I look forward to reading more by the author.

Light entertainment
Funny and poignant this book chronicles the first year of a junior doctor on the wards. It’s told in a diary format so makes for easy reading and is full of shorts snippets which give a snapshot of the authors experiences. Personally I would have like the balance tilted to include a greater number of funny moments which the author describes well and often lead to a laugh out loud moment. Overall it’s an enjoyable read

Handle with care!
Very convincing account. Very funny in an unfunny environment. Not to be handed to medical students, as it is likely to put them off the profession for good. Should be compulsory reading for all leading politicians, especially health ministers.

Very witty and relateable experience. I would definitely recommend to anyone considering the medical profession as a career option. Couldn't stop reading or laughing.

I really enjoyed this book. It was funny, poignant (reflecting the real hardships the junior doctor faces in the 1st year) and deeply concerning with regard to how EU meddling (Working Hours Directive) and British Government's cut-backs in Health Care (packaged as Efficiency improvements) effect the NHS and ultimately us, the patients. The book is very hard to put down. A highly recommended read!

This book is a very interesting and informative read; the humour and pathos are expertly intertwined and the style of writing make it an absolute pleasure to read. I loved the honesty and humanity it portrays throughout and I look forward to the next books in the series. Thank you Max.
