This ‘robo cat’ has enhanced my dear friend’s life immeasurably in her nursing home. It provides much needed lighter moments when life becomes tough - a reassuring presence.A bit robotic in movement but the sound track is unbelievably good & entertaining. Expressive!Batteries last many hours and the robot car is ready to go from the outset.Three settings - easy to use and maintain. We love this.Okay, it's not as well made as some other expensive soft toys/collector bears, for example, which we have in our house - but that's not what it is! It's a robotic cat, with lovely responses and sounds. It's battery operated too: so that's amazing. You don't have to plug it in! And the price is good.I don't think its uses are limited to a companion pet for the elderly: I think it serves a younger audience, out working all day, who want a cat but can't have one because they're out all day. This fulfils the need for a cat when they come home!It has lovely faux fur and beautiful positioning of the cat's body. It's solid and not like a soft toy. It feels just like a real cat.One reviewer says it does 4 things. That's not true. We got it today and it has done 6 already...maybe more. It purrs, it closes its eyes, it meows, it rolls back, it scratches its face and it does a sweet wake up sigh. It also goes quiet when you leave it, then wakes up again. We will be leaving it on at all times: not muted, either.We love it.Great company too. Big, big love - and many thanks for such an astonishing achievement.Just updating too...having had it for a few days now. It goes to sleep. Doesn't disturb you at all until you want it to be like a real cat seeking fussing. Seems to say a meow like 'hello' when it wakes up again. Gorgeous. Worth every penny.

This year has been really tough, long stay in hospital and left with long covid and other health issues and sadly had to give my 2 cats up for adoption, after having them for many years wasa hard decision to make and left me feeling lonely apart from my carer, then I found this and spent time thinking do I or don't I buy, well I did and he arrived a week ago and I feel like he's the best buy, I've found I'm not feeling so lonely now and his little meows, purrs and interaction with me is so good, his purr is realistic the fur is soft and his chuffed, sighs and meows are realistic and have made him a valuable part of my daily life and I'd miss him a lot. I would highly recommend him to anyone who wants a companion cat and can't have the real thing now.Edited: I've had him 5 weeks now and still the original batteries he came which is brilliant going considering all he does.

I have now bought 4 of these pups and they are lovely and very lifelike when they work. Unfortunately our first puppy lasted only 2 years and got slower and slower before it actually stopped working altogether. It provided us with some fun times such as the way it got to know the sound of my voice and would automatically bark when it heard me. It reacted to light and also the remote control. I found the heartbeat a little disconcerting as it would suddenly stop, or as the 2nd puppy sounded like it was in a tin can! I was so upset when “Peppa” stopped working that we bought a second one but that only lasted 18 months before it stopped working. My husband wanted me to buy another one to keep me company while he was in hospital which I did but that sounded like a duck each time it moved its head and tail that although it made me laugh, was sent back. So puppy 4 was ordered as my husband died a few weeks ago and it was his dying wish for me to have one. Again this stopped working within 2 days. It still barked but all movement stopped. Back went puppy 4. The puppies are very expensive to buy especially if they are only going to last 18 - 24 months, but they provide endless entertainment when working properly. They require 4 batteries to work which we changed every 2 months or so. The battery case is not easy to access and I found it to be quite a fiddle. Overall lovely gift but I wouldn’t recommend them for young children as hugging tightly can also harm the workings of them. I’m retired and have enjoyed so much the time I’ve had with them as I can chat away to them and they’ll answer in their way. The company just need to make them work a lot better and for longer than they do. What do I do now? Puppy number 5 is on her way to me as my dear husband would have wished.

Absolutely brilliant. This cat has saved my mother's mental health once she moved to a care home. She loves animals so being away from her dog was always going to be a risk when she needed more support.A year on he is looking a little shabby from all the love and milk he has been given, but he's carried around and loved by all the residents.
