Tart mollases pantry staple
A little too tart for eating straight, but so tasty when mixed with other ingredients. Used this in a teriyaki marinade and couldn't be more pleased at the debth of flavor it added to this sauce.

A tasty, novel ingredient
We like to eat many different types of cuisines and Middle Eastern is a favorite. This item is called for in numerous ME recipes. Something that is not ME but tastes very good with this molasses is Brussel sprouts. Yes, you read that correctly. Roast the sprouts in the oven (spray first with a bit of olive oil and sprinkle with salt) till nicely browned. Drizzle with the pomegranate molasses. The flavors are complementary and surprisingly tasty.

Metallic taste
I really had high hopes for this product. Knowing nothing about pomegranate molasses, I searched around and decided on ordering two different products from Amazon, in the meantime I had gotten one from Whole Foods. So my comparison will be against the three products I’ve tasted. First off, the Al wadi... The first and last impression unfortunately is a very metallic taste. Not sure what’s causing it but it’s inescapable, and otherwise ruins what might be a good tasting product. Someone else had commented somewhere that they had loved the original one but had received one in a plastic bottle that they thought was Offputting, however mine arrived in glass bottles. And just in case I had gotten a bad one, I opened the second bottle and that same nasty taste was there. Not sure I am able but will be returning this product if I can. I also ordered the Eat Well pomegranate molasses which was quite a bit more expensive but a lot better tasting. I know from reading the label that the product doesn’t have any molasses in it, however there is a slight molasses taste to this particular one which is fine, it’s just an observation. Nice flavor to this one and I would say on the sweeter side. The one I got from Whole Foods which is also available on Amazon is the Sadaf brand. This particular brand has some additives, like citric acid which definitely comes through in the flavor and sugar. This stuff is very tasty, almost addictive. I wouldn’t say pomegranate is not the first thing that comes to mind, but don’t get me wrong the stuff is delicious and definitely worth trying. I’d buy it again in a heartbeat. It’s difficult to say which one is better, they Eat Well, or the Sadaf; both are good and worth a try. I have a feeling that this stuff can become a long pursuit somewhat like the search for a good or great balsamic vinegar. As with all things, it comes down to what you enjoy. But I would say to stay away from the Al wadi brand Because of that nasty metallic taste.

50/50
I can't speak to the taste of this yet, but it came very well packaged and I was optimistic about the quality of the bottles. However, although one bottle was perfect, the second bottle had leaked a little and the seal was half broken and the cap wouldn't tighten down. Bottle on the right.

I bought this for a specific recipe.
I bought this for a specific recipe but the first time I used it I was overwhelmed by all the different recipes in which it would work. My whole family loved the flavor. It came really fast. I have already used 1/2 of the first bottle. It is awesome on brussels sprouts. I can't wait to explore with it more and I wished I had known about it earlier!!!

Pomegranate molasses
I love this product. I use it in marinades & vinaigrette. What I don’t like is how this package arrived. Leaking sticky pomegranate molasses all on outside of box on my front doorstep. Pictures show it dripping out of box when I brought inside

Pomegranate goodness is at your front door!
Just delicious for all of my recipes that call for pomegranate syrup. I love the stir fried brussel sprouts and and this with the balsamic vinegar. We also make a cocktail called the French 75 using gin and pomegranate syrup among other things. Since moving to a rural town, we don't have Arabic markets and so finding this product on Amazon and a terrific price made me so happy!
