Log Cabin: The Classic American Quilt Collection

I am a quilter that has never done a Log Cabin Quilt. I think this is the perfect book to get me going!

This is the most worthless book I have ever bought. It is now listed, used, for a penny.. save your penny and shipping fees. You can find MUCH better info, tutorials and patterns for free on the internet. I will just donate my copy to a thrift store.--- Sorry my review did not clarify my one star rating of "Worthless". Quite frankly, the book had an inviting cover picture. Inside the book is a whole different spectrum. True it's an old book, hence the fact that we no longer need to cut little snibbles of cloth and sew each little snibble together, then cut the next little snibble and repeat, etc. The pattern instructions are confusing if not downright impossible to figure out, even though this is a simple log cabin pattern!!. If a person new to quilt piecing were to try this book they would probably be so frustrated with the instructions that they would DONATE the book and pursue a new hobby. We can go on the net for free and find fast strip piecing methods to make beautiful log cabin quilts. Sorry, but I found this book to be one star (just for the pretty design on the cover) but the instructions to be worthless.

Great patterns

This book was EXACTLY what I wanted -- the basics and how to construct a traditional Log Cabin quilt. So many patterns I've seen are variations, and I wanted traditional. Easy to understand, good photographs.

Love this book. Such a fun pattern to work. Came with fast service and in great condition.
