I'm SO GLAD I got this for my 85 pound white dog (with black spots, lol). The chain collars were leaving "ring around the collar" dirt marks on my boy's super-white hair. Well THAT isn't acceptable, so what to do?THIS collar is the answer! At first the set-up is a bit odd but it ends-up being a real advantage. The "set-up" is that the plastic and the metal loops are not just "straight choker-chain" but rather there's a slight "stopper" kind of effect. It's hard to explain, but I've now had "Duke" on the collar for MANY months and he's doing beautifully well without any "ring-around-the-collar" AND the "choker-effect" get's his attention when needed (without being tight on his throat when not needed). The only "down side" is that there are some fibers from time to time that I trim with scissors. NO BIGGIE !!! It's just SO MUCH BETTER than a metal chain. I'm thrilled. My guy-dog is 85 pounds of pure energy, and this collar has held-up and performed and been comfortable for over a year and it's sooo good... that I ordered a second one just to have on-hand ! Such a great collar! PLEASE, people, put the collar on as you are facing the dog as a "P" in your hand. "P" is for "perfect." In other words, a choker can CHOKE, and you don't want that!!! Face your dog - make the collar into a letter "P" (from your perspective) and then the collar will not be a constant "choke" on your best friend, your true companion, your innocent buddy who is completely dependent on you. It's painful to see situations wherein people have chain collars on dogs that are put on facing the wrong way. The dogs are choked and put at risk for accidents unnecessarily. Please remember "P" is for perfect. "B" is for bad. Check-out choker-chain photos and you'll see what I mean. A long chain that can get caught-up and choke your dog is NOT GOOD. Dogs ARE our best friends and they're dependent on... Ta-duh: "US !" ,,, To be smart enough to love them well. Yah, there's a bit of "preaching" here in this "review" but please, a collar matters and this one is a good one (if you use it properly).

This collar is my new favorite! It is durable, well made, and vividly colored. It is WORLDS better than a Leerburg dominant dog collar (and I’m a fan of Ed Frawley, but this collar beats his for overall general use)My dog PRANCES in this collar. He has a bounce in his step. Why? No more bulky leash slapping his legs or side-body. No constant pressure. No thin rope digging into him, no thick material awkwardly sitting on his neck. Just a simple, loose, perfectly placed collar.Some things to consider when buying:1. THERE IS A RIGHT WAY AND A WRONG WAY TO USE THIS PRODUCT. Please see the video of my dog. He is already trained to walk on a loose leash, so this is perfect for him. It will stop him from lunging at another dog because I have instant, complete control once the rope cinches as he pulls. This is for power steering in an emergent situation, this is NOT designed to train your dog. If your dog is choking on this collar as it walks normally without lunging, it is NOT READY for loose leash walking. Cinch style collars are for TRAINED DOGS. They can cause trachea collapse in untrained pulling dogs. ANY COLLAR can.2. If you are complaining because your dog chewed through this collar, you are too dumb to own an animal. This isn’t a chew toy. This isn’t a tethering collar (which is illegal and amoral). This is a safe collar for dogs that lunge at other dogs or squirrels. If used as intended, your dog cannot possibly reach it. If your dog reaches it to chew it, YOU are the issue, not BronzeDog or Amazon.3. Some may notice that the collar doesn’t slip or cinch with ease. This is a POSITIVE QUALITY! Guys, you don’t want your dog walking against a tight cinch. Please view the video of my dog walking in this collar. The collar is not tightened, and the ring is sitting on the plastic bumper as we walk. It slides over the bumper and cinches EASILY when needed. If you find that your collar does not cinch easily, trade it in for a size smaller. It should BARELY be able to slide over your dogs head.

Great quality, weight, color, and rings are well made. The measurement for size is wrong. I needed a collar for a 20" neck, and ordered per instructions. Received a collar that is too large.

Very durable, I like I could hang off of this thing and it wouldn't break, I do wish the colors were a little brighter though

Though I do like this rope choke collar, I find it a bit bulky. The one we had before from our trainer was a lot thinner and I found it to loosen up on it's own better after you pull on it. I didn't realize this was going to be so much thicker and bigger. We are using it now, but will mostly go back and just get next size up from our breeder. So if you don't mind a big bulky choke collar this is okay for you. It definitely feels like it will last a long time.

Overall, if you need a good choker to keep your dog in line, look elsewhere, but if you want the ease of a quick slip on when you head out, this may be the product for you. When I bought this product, I thought the rope would be skinnier and more pliable than it actually was. It is about the diameter of a pinky-finger and I was expecting something closer to a pencil-sized diameter. Because of the thickness, it is 'too comfortable' and definitely doesn't keep my dog from pulling as much as our tape-style choker previously did. (Thankfully my dog doesn't pull much now that he's older). On the plus side, it is very easy to slip over my dog's neck (we usually walk him without a lease, then put the leash on when we meet the main road). It is a little bulky, but not weighty. Too bulky, in my opinion to leave it on all the time.

This product could be a little larger, dogs with big head can be an issue. Otherwise it seems to be well built and of course the nylon is muchore responsive than any chain choker.

Me gustó mucho, se ve muy lindo y no es pesado ni molesto para el perro. Lo único que para mi gusto le hace falta, es un tope para que no se deslice y se les salga fácilmente.
