This tastes great without the side effects of normal coffee.

I was one of the folks who screamed for Postum to come back after the company stopped making it. There's really no excuse for the price range they brought it back at but I still buy it. It's just such a nice alternative when you want coffee but can't have or don't want the caffeine or you just want something less harsh. The taste is very much like coffee but has a slight hint of brown sugar flavor. I've suggested it to folks who can no longer have coffee and they love it because they say it has the "mouth feel" of coffee. Anything you can add to coffee, you can add to Postum. It also comes in a coffee flavor and they make a cocoa, but I prefer the original to both.

I was looking for something coffee-like minus the acidity and caffeine around bedtime. It’s not bad, it doesn’t really taste like coffee much at all, but I think it’ll grow on me. All I pick up is the slight taste of molasses. I will say compared to Teeccino, this is better.

I was just finishing off an ancient jar of Postum which I assumed was less flavourful because of its age but it turns out the new jar is really quite insipid: I need twice as much per volume to get the same intensity of flavour. It'll do but it won't last as long which is disappointing because of the price

I use to purchase this item in stores and it was an excellent hot drink in place of coffee. It was a pleasure to find out it was still available and still is a great hot drink.C

I. Love. Coffee. But coffee started to fight against me. Postum was my coffee savior!I am going in for several tests the end of February and am on prescription meds for what they believe is an ulcer.I had to stop consuming (cold turkey) coffee on 9 January because I had the worst burning pain in my stomach (as well as the worst pain in my life. It made childbirth and a broken shoulder seem like nothing). I won't get into graphics, but they stated if this was to ever happen again, I was to go to ER. I just wanted to sleep and did so, for 17 hours.After my stomach felt better and my excruciating cold turkey headache went away, I had remembered when I was 18 years old, many years ago, I had a neighbor who introduced me to a drink that had a nice flavor. I could not think of the name. I visited her a lot and drank it with her and even bought some for my house.I looked in the grocery store and found a coffee alternative, and it was tasteless. I searched the internet and found my drink I so enjoyed--Postum! Amazon delivered and I had a cup, and it was just as delicious as I had remembered! I was in heaven!I am unsure if I will ever go back to coffee dueto the incident on 9 January. It scared me that much. I love the taste of Postum. I love that I am sleeping much better at night (despite thinking coffee didn't affect me for over 30 years). And most importantly did I say, I LOVE THE FLAVOR?!?I am ordering another jar. Needed a coffee substitute and I had always wanted to try Postum original. Relieved my order today and I wasn't disappointed. The flavor was a lot better than expected.I only wish it didn't cost so much for an 8 oz jar.

Original flavor- I like this, it has a dark richness that reminds me of coffee. Tastes pretty good. Dissolves easily in hot water. Nice alternative from decaf. The only con is the price.
