Romika Alaska 118, Women’s Snow Boots

I so loved the look of these boots when I put them on, so it was a huge disappointment that they were unbearable to walk in. This is due to the hard inner plastic heal box, which, for me at least, (this may not be the case for everyone), they dug into the back of my heal became painful very soon after putting them on. I had to return them, but still miss these gorgeous looking boots.

Possibly the most comfortable thing I've ever put on my feet. I'm anywhere from a size 5 to size 6 depending on the brand, but with these I ordered a 5 and they are perfect. I'm fairly fashion conscious and I do think these look stylish dressed up or down. I really couldn't ask for more in a boot.

So disappointed. The gel like sole of the boot is disintegrating and falling off in chunks. Just amazing.

These must be my third or fourth pair of Romika winter boots over many years - waterproof, snow proof, windproof & warm with good non-slip soles. The best thing about this style for me is the zip up the front plus the cord at the top to tighten them as required. My well used past ones were pull-on styles which were sometimes a struggle to put on and take off. But not these. The sizing is generous so I went for a half size less than usual which is fine, but IF they had been a bit on the tight side, there is an extra removable fleece insole. They are not made in half sizes and the bigger size would have been too big. There is a good choice of colours on Amazon but I did buy mine elsewhere. I would not hesitate to recommend them.
