Like a gnarly, deep-tissue massage: uncomfortable & important to my well-being
This book is very different than his first book. While "Unf*ck Yourself" woke me up after a 3 year nap, this one helped me to put myself on a path worth walking. This book is a simple read that had me laughing out loud many times at the absurd truths that get a light shone on them by Gary. I wasn't particularly comfortable at times when I read the book and noticed myself thinking a lot. The message didn't occur to me as a bolt of lighting, but it was like a deep rumbling in my belly as it unfolded. The rumbling and acknowledging of truth and how I play the largest role in my life, how I self sabotage, and how I was resigned in areas I didn't even know I was resigned in. I left with a deep calm and knowing that I am fiercely capable to create a life I didn't know possible. I can see the end results and I am building from there. What a great feeling. The results are already happening.

Spot On!!!
I have read both books and to say they hit an absolute home run is an understatement. This book is written with humor, but is raw and causes any person to evaluate what they are allowing in their lives. I struggle with PTSD and severe panic disorder, this book awakens a lot of why I trigger so badly and has given me tools to maybe head some of these thoughts and fears off. I read the entire book in one sitting, but I have read it again multiple times finding more and more to highlight and refer back to. I certainly hope there are more books to come!

Some Much Needed and Surprising Tough Love
This is the second book I have read by Gary John Bishop and I have become a big fan. I was wondering if this book would be redundant, boy was I mistaken! I like his honest approach and he is hilarious too. He tells it like it is, but in a compassionate way. No lengthy explanations or theories, he just presents things in a matter of fact way, simple, no bs and in bite sized chunks. He tells you to read but also to take small breaks to digest the information. Don’t be fooled, his message is profound. Deeply profound. He makes you think and acknowledge, laugh out loud, without shame or guilt. He had me laughing so much in certain chapters, that other passengers on a long plane ride, were looking at my phone to see what I was listening to. Which by the way, I highly recommend getting the audio of the book! I love audible books and his two books are read by the author himself. In a charming Scottish accent! You can easily finish it up in a weekend. It shifted my thoughts and made me be more present during such an important milestone, watching a friend get married later in life. So if your looking for a great read, that’s digestible, entertaining and real, even over a wedding weekend getaway(like I did), pick up a copy!

Nope.
His first book was very good, made you think. This one is not helpful in anyway. As you read him you have to think, I wonder how hard this middle-aged man was struggling to come up with another catchy four-letter worded sentence to amuse the Millenials. (and Im a boomer)Let me just save you a lot of reading.SPOILER ALERT****He asks 3 questions-What do you think of yourself in one word,What do you think about life in one word,What do you think about others in one word. You are a SPONGE, throw that sponge away. The End. Seriously. I'm not going to say that's not helpful, but do you really have to go through his four letter tyrade to think about that? He could have written this book on 1 page.

Great, life-changing book
This book mayh not be for everyone. But if you want something that won't give you platitudes and cliches, this is there. Gary will tell it how it is, and it resonated with me more deeply than maybe any book I've ever read. I've read it once and am planning on reading it at least another 2 or 3 times, as there are nuggets of wisdom sprinkled throughout these pages.

Great Book! - the problem and the answer is within each of us.
Excellent book to read and even better to listen to the author read Audible Book. Not typical self help book. this is all about understanding the problem and solution is in the bathroom mirror every morning. its a no excuses, no one to blame, because "where does that get you?" book.Stop Doing the S!@# irreverent, in your face, no bullS!@#% style is not for everyone but speaks to younger audiences and people of all ages willing to look at themselves, others, and the world from a different perspective. Great book for parent trying to understand how their kids see themselves, their parent and life. Its a great gift for teens and young adults struggling with something, angry with the world or just trying to figure things out. I have bought and gifted 6 so far.Stop Doing that S!@#, like the author, Gary John Bishop's, first book, UnF!@#yourself, is all about self assesment in a Ray Dalio radical transparency way that is blunt, sometimes painful, obvious and often DUH obvious. Bishop humor actually makes difficult self assessment process fun.I highly recommend it.

Great reality check and wake up call of my life!
Gary's book is an in your face, no nonsense, wake up call; similar to his Unfuck Yourself book. However, with this one, Gary goes deeper into why we are sabotaging ourselves and also gives methods on how to stop doing that shit! If you need something to really rattle your cage and help you get out of your own way, read this book!

Do the work!
I've been following the Facebook group for a while and listening to videos and having seen other members posts about the book decided to buy it. I haven't been disappointed. It gets straight to the point and that is what we all need people to be very blunt with us so that we can give honest answers. We need to be challenged and face up to what we are doing otherwise we are going to keep doing the same thing and think we'll get different results. It's up to you and this book is a great motivator to STOP DOING THAT S**T NOW and get your life back on track! BUY IT but DO THE WORK!

Great Reminder of Who Is In Charge
On the surface an easy fast read yet slow down and there is quite a depth to what GB is saying even if the style is very acerbic. Not for the faint hearted. Also some good humour sprinkled through. I had a number of relatable laughs.
