I try to buy reputable parts for critical components like VW/Audi timing belt and associated parts. A failed timing belt will destroy a VW/Audi engine and I don't want to take that risk. I am also price concious, I shopped around and this was right at the top of the list value wise, plus 2 day prime got it to me quick. This is my second Gates belt for Audi 1.8t, quiet operation and I dont have any concerns about durability with Gates. I have confidence that the gates belt will perform as well as any other quality belt such as continental, the price was great and I would buy again. Don't mess around with cheap or knock off timing parts on your interference engines.

Counterfeit Not real GATES branded belt. Made in China
The belt is a counterfeit. Picture of item is real item but it is not what I received.. Returned promptly.

My Mistake
I didn't have an issue with the belt itself with the exception I ordered the wrong one. Am is the process of returning this. Fault was all mine.
